Citizen Ladies ECO DRIVE Watch - Model FB1152-01D $198.00 Save $352.00 Free Delivery @Bevilles

Hi, just spotted that Bevilles are selling this watch for much less than usual. We bought this watch few months ago for my wife when it was on special for around $250. Later, price went back up to $550 and now it is heavily discounted. The watch looks really beautiful, I do have another 2 citizen eco-drive watches, use them for 6 years and had no problems with them whatsoever. Were using them in the ocean, swimming pool, occasionally hit them with walls and they still work fine. It uses light to charge the battery so no need to worry about changing batteries, or winding it. If you are interested you can google the eco-drive technology. If the bevilles shop is not far from you you can go and check it for yourself and it could be a great present for Valentines Day. Believe me this watch looks like it is worth at least $1000 or I've seen some watches that are $1000+ but look cheap. There are few other models that are on special, but this one is true bargain.

  • occasionally hit them with walls and they still work fine.

    hey what the?

that's because of excessive waiving (while being under influence) :)

i think he means they bump into walls and the watch hits the wall, must be a narrow house!

it is narrow, excellent guess ;)

I got the Black Hawk Eco Drive version I bought a few years back worth $750 and bought it 50% off from CBD as a shop was closing, great deal. No batteries changed and runs great. For this price I would recommend it.

  • "It recharges continuously in any kind of light to run for 5+ years."
    What happens after 5+ years?

    • I can confirm that mine is still working after 6 years, hope it will last for another 4 years and I'll change it to another citizen watch (mine is scratched after so many walls) :)

    • I am also wondering what would happen after 5 years.

      • In july 2012 mine will be 7 y.o. I'll let everyone know if it is still working (pretty much sure it will be working) btw my model is AT0018-50L, bought it in dubai in 2005 use it everyday, have another model with perpetual calendar bought it in 2007, use it 3-4 days a month so can confirm that both models perform well.

      • According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eco-Drive (search for "Solar cell and secondary battery life expectancy" section) should last more than 10 years.

        • Thanks EarthMan. I'll be well chuffed if a $170 watch lasts me 10 years :o)

    • Eco-drives have a rechargeable battery in them, and like any rechargeable battery .. will not last forever. and when these need to be changed? it wont be cheap.

I too have a Citizen Ecodrive (got it for 50% off in true OzBargain style).

THe Citizen Ecodrive are a great watch. I would say without doubt the best watch under $500 you can buy.

Of course watches are very personal and I would want to see it in person before I buy.

    • Tried the code but couldn't get it to work unfortunately….

Edit: My mistake. Works perfectly. Thanks heaps! :o)

    • good find, looks like I need to buy another set, cause it's cheap :)

  • the clock face looks pretty big for a ladies watch. I tried looking online for any pictures of ladies wearing it but couldn't find any. :(

    • About 3cm diameter if that helps give you a better picture… :o)

  • i don't know about you guys, but i think there are several better styles/brands to purchase for a lady than citizen watches. they lack refinement and are very common. i don't intend to troll in any way whatsoever, but for the more discerning female partners of ours, these watches may not meet expectations…

    • Citizen are well made watches who will still be around in 10 years supplying parts and service . On the other hand with mobile phones watches are nothing more than jewelery these days anyway .

    • I agree, there are better styles and brands like Omega, but in this price range you can't buy anything half as good as citizen. Citizen is good as everyday watch, precise and reliable but if she doesn't like the looks or the brand you can't do much about it. Sometimes they like Guess watch just for the looks and the name ;)

  • never mind, its different

  • Looks like a good deal, but I can't say it looks $1,000+… Personally, if the strap was not leather, but say stainless steel, I'd definitely consider it.

  • Sold out online, but you can try your local shop, usually they have couple on the shelves
