Also available at Bunnings at the same price: https://www.bunnings.com.au/frame-only-lazy-maisons-120kg-si…

But I am getting a payment error.

    • I bought this just now, thanks for the alternative.

I have this exact frame (purchased through eBay) and has been great so far. Little to no wobble depending on height. These have 2 stage legs which work quite well and move up and down fairly quick

Something to note was at the time of purchase, the two vertical brackets were not included as new packaging was being implemented is what they had told me. When contacting Lazy Maison, they called back the following day to confirm the missing parts and had them sent out the following weekday (This happened over the long Easter weekend)

Tl;dr It goes up and down fast, pretty stable, can be wobbly at max height but less wobbly than the ones in the office

    • You answered my question as I was typing! I see Lazy Maison have an ebay store per your post for $18 more. Have you compared with the Ikea Bekant desk?

      • +3

Why yes I have! The Bekant seemed a bit sturdier (fully extended) but was quite a bit slower when it came to going up and down. The tabletop was a bit small for my liking and I believe the recommended tabletop size for the Bekant was about 1600mm from memory

I prefer the touchpad on Lazy Maison as it's more like a capacitive touchpad than a button but to each their own

        • Thanks - that gives me a frame of reference. I'm surprised the Bekant seems less wobbly at maximum height as the reviews aren't positive in this regard but I guess at this price nothing will be perfect. If you don't mind me asking is it noticeably wobbly at 900mm and normal sitting position? (Also the bekant desk has no memory which is a negative)

          • @gadget: I've actually mistaken the Bekant for the Idasen, my apologies. The Idasen was the desk that is a little more stable at full height and I don't quite remember the Bekant unfortunately

            • @Escanor: That sounds right. The idasen desk reviews quite well but unfortunately too ugly even for me.

        • I prefer physical buttons for their reliability, but that’s the engineer in me talking. Thanks for the comparison.

  • Looks interesting. Can anyone comment on the quality (ie does it shake/wobble a lot, is the speed ok etc) or links to reviews or the actual OEM.

  • I bought this off eBay as well along with the desktop. So far no complaints - I use it daily. Goes up and down well with a little wobble if you go too high but nothing noticeable.
    Very easy to install.

  • Any1 can recommend where to get the desktop & how to fit on this frame.
Price range would be helpful as well.

    • Bunnings and Ikea sell table/counter tops which you can cut to size.

This frame is basically the standard electric height adjustable frame in the last couple years - through design and iteration, the market has essentially arrived at a super solid solution and now mass produces it at massive scale - very similar to gaming chairs. Unlike gaming chairs though, these things are actually high quality, and ergonomically sound, with little branding nonsense to detract from their overall feel and design.

I bought one years ago, and have watched its price come down steadily through various brands and resellers - it all comes from the same set of factories in China, using high volume, standardized components.

    Delivery to WA is $70…

    • What did you expect?

      Carton Size: 110cm x 48cm x 21cm
      Weight: 28.5 Kg

  • Where do people get the tops from i had a look at Bunnings but they all seem 600mm depth which seems small.

    • ikea

  • Available for $305 at their eBay store.

Edit: Nevermind, this is for the 80Kg version.

I got the Mason Taylor dual motor 100kg frame last week from the ebay sale.

I was going down the Bunnings DIY desktop route so I could have a 110x60cm top to fit a particular space, but decided to just get the optional Mason Taylor 120x60cm white top instead (only ~$50 extra).

The frame/motors/controller itself is very similar to my ZenSpaceDesks Pro, but the Mason Taylor is a dual-stage with a lower load rating - I'd guess they're from the same source, but the MT is a cheaper version than the ZSD. This also means the MT doesn't go as low as the ZSD (70cm vs 65cm).

The MT top is good for the price, a solid wood-look veneer top with rounded corners - vs the ZSD top which feels like a "proper" laminate covered commercial desktop.

MT isn't quite as stable as the ZSD when at standing height, but that may be because I've got the narrower 120-wide MT on carpet vs the 150-wide ZSD on a wooden floor.

Given the MT was $305 vs $700 for the ZSD, I'd say it's worth the cost savings if you're after a cheaper option.
