And Telstra took six months to get the billing right for me :( and now have no idea how long I will be on the offer because the muppets on live chat can't figure out whether their keyboards are upside down or not :(

I had to open a TIO case for Telstra to fix the billing and credit me for not shipping me the SIM for 3-4 months…

  • Dang! thought this was a phone plan 🤪

    • Maybe you could VOIP

  • and phones calls are included?

    • Data plan only

  • Curious what happens with data sharing once you are shaped.

  • any good plans better than boost?

  • The signal tower is 2 minutes walk from my flat and I am still getting very low 4G speed with Telstra.

Optus is better speed but their pricing strategy keep going down hill and now pushing a $200/month account that has been with them for almost ten years off their system. They simply don't care about customer value.

Guess I will go back to Vodafone before my last billing cycle finish.

    • I wonder if it was Telstra or Optus that give me the first neg??

    • Probably just a bad spot. Overall 4g speeds are very good in Australian cities for all the providers.

      • No I use to live in city with so many signal tower surrounding me, the same.

I commented before (OZSherlocks can try to find my comment). When I took her off the JB Telstra plan and put her on Optus, she was up in arms and legs. Same phone, both 4G and according to her the difference is night and day.

        • I’ve been with Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone and they have all been perfectly fine in metro areas. And very fast in inner city areas.

I’d say just bad luck for you.

Best option is to get onto Telstra 5G home internet if you can… https://www.telstra.com.au/internet/5g-broadband-plans

    • from $15/mth?

  • I moved a few of my services to the upfront data plan, each subsequent plan change over did not trigger the first month charge (eg first plan charged $15 upfront) went back a bit later did another one $75, required now $0 next month $75.

So if you have a few to change start at the cheapest first :) (this was for Siebel old plans to sales force/consol new move, prob won’t work for existing consol changes)

  • Does the discount apply if you upgrade/downgrade an existing service?

Isn't it extra small and small are 4g only?
