Decent deal compare to similar configuration of similar laptops. Dell website price is $2,998.97. Seems only drawback is only having 2 Thunderbolt™ 4 ports.

The 1TB model is 20% off at Dell AU and with the coupon LOVEKEANU it brings it down to $2600, and that also includes Windows 10 Pro.

    • Looks like a huge bargin .

But with the mac m1x coming…

      • Paying for the form factor and build. Can get gaming laptops for this price.

Yeah but the mrs wants slim, light and powerful for carrying around in a fashionable bag, not flashing lights and shouty form in a huge heavy beast

  • Whats the harshrate of this graphics card?

  • This or the Lenovo X1 carbon with similar specs at c.$2100?

    • XPS looks better… if you dont care about looks then the X1 will hold up better to getting carted around.
Having said that, the Mrs XPS has lasted 4.5 years with only a replaced battery

    • Just my OzBargainer 2 cents: perhaps you can go a previous gen X1 carbon for <$800? I got a refurbished gen3 X1 3 years ago for $450 and with a bit of care it is still the same as it was with no noticeable imperfections. They are all over eBay. Considering the savings, you could spend it on a very decent PC or an iPad or whatever you need to fill your use case.

Ask yourself what you need. Do I need thunderbolt 4? Do I prefer Lenovo's or Dell's keyboard/mouse input? Should I consider the resell value of the device I'm buying? etc.

It's always hard to recommend stuff when I don't know specific use cases/budgets :(. I have a feeling this isn't the right post to talk about buying used when the product is 5x the price and has a considerable amount of spec differences. Man.. why do pc/laptop suggestions always turn out to be so long. I should stop bothering.

      • Could you link me one

        • Sure! Here you go :)

I simply searched for "x1 carbon gen z" where z is less than the current generation and you don't need to use eBay. It does look like the good 6th generation listings are snatched up pretty quick. They really are great deals for what I consider to be an outstanding Ultrabook. No complaints for general use and university work. And I can bet most users would be happier to use a last gen flagship vs a new craptop from a retailer like The Good Guys or Officeworks.

  • What a complete rip off. I’ve seen this go for $1800 discounted by Dell eBay store a few months back.

You can get a discounted Lenovo Legion i5 for $1600 lol
