I ordered a Chiron previously from Zavvi. The Chiron was shipped in the original Lego outer box, that would've come directly from the Lego. So it wasn't padded or protected in any way. However, the box only sustained a little bit of damage in a corner.
Not bad, but not necessarily great. In my case, I was completely happy with how it arrived, but I can see how it can easily get crushed/damaged.
Got the SIAN from last discount code deal, received it earlier this week without any issue in cardboard box without damage.
Was obviously tossed around a fair bit during shipping but overall looks fine.
If you plan to get this one, its likely to retire soon based on similar prior releases.
