    Is it really that bad a feature?

    Just checked the last 3 laptops our family have bought have 218, 220 and 230 nits, various brands.

    I never once though my screen wasn't bright enough and I certainly don't keep it at full brightness either.

    More importantly is 250 nits below average for a laptop with this price range and other features? If so fair enough, but then what is the link to the better option?

  If I wanted an almost exact spec laptop with a better (and potentially touchscreen) monitor, does anyone know what range should I be looking at - T495 / T14 / T14S ?

  This is so close to being everything I need, but having had a older E495, in the odd occasion I needed to use the actual laptop screen without an external monitor, especially in a non-office environment it was a painful experience.
