Gl-Inet Triband Mesh Router

2 Pack also available for $308.70

Once again based on OpenWRT so you can access all the OpenWRT goodness in the repo but is still based on Qualcomm WiFi-SON which most other Mesh systems are based on.

Comes standard with OpenVPN support, Wireguard support, Adguard Home built-in etc…

If you've got the B1300 then the 2.4Ghz is much better on these new units and they've developed a nice app that assists with mesh setup and management of your router ( note that the update also works on their other routers too if you upgrade to firmware 3.201 which is now based on Openwrt 19.07)

  • I wonder if this would be an upgrade from Google wifi 1st gen?

  • If you want to check what mesh chipset you already have , check the table in here https://deviwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Wireless_Systems#
Unfortunately it looks like my Tenda MW6 is Realtek

  • Thanks. Same chipset but faster radios and much more configurable.
