Does anyone have any idea on the degree of accuracy on these?
The apache (web), SSH, and ftp, and services on a subset of our VPS and dedicated servers are currently down. FTP services on some shared servers are also experiencing downtime. Our system administration and data center operation teams are currently on the case and we are attempting to restore services as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided.
Please note that this only affects web VPS/dedicated and shared web server FTP services, no other services or servers (MySQL or mail, for example) are affected.
Update Jan 29th, 12:25pm PST: Http services on shared hosting services should all be back up and running at the moment. FTP services are still starting on shared servers and is more than halfway done, so FTP service should be restored everywhere shortly. Our admin teams continue to go through dedicated and VPS servers that are still reporting down. We’ll update this post again shortly. -dan w
Update Jan 29th, 11:55am PST: The http on most shared servers should be back up now. There’s only about 5 Apache’s on various shared hosting servers that are still having issues starting, but our admins are working on resolving those now. Our rolling FTP restarts are about half way through restoring FTP service to the affected servers. Our dedicated and VPS admin teams have been making progress on getting services on those servers restored as well, but we don’t have any hard stats on how much more work needs to be done on those yet. We’ll update this post when we have more information. -dan w
Update Jan 29th, 11:25am PST: We are making good progress on getting the affected servers back up and running. A good portion of the services that were having problems are now back up and running. Our admin team is working at full force to restore service to all the remaining services that are having issues. The team that was handing restoring shared hosting services is close to finishing apache (http) and FTP services updates/restarts. Our dedicated/VPS team are still working out a couple of kinks on the backend and will then be sweeping through and fixing any remaining down services there. More info to come soon. -dan w

I think dreamhost got hacked and all the VPS servers are down…
It will be another 12 hours before they wake up on the other side of the world to see our site go back up again (hopefully)
