  • Agh! Just bought the $200 12 month plan yesterday!

    • Wow literally bought this sim 15 minutes ago from a different seller for more

  • Can i confirm this is also NOT a recharge type offer right?

    • nope

      • Thanks for that :)

    • From what I understand, you can speak to customer support and they will load it into an existing account. I've never done it myself, but I've read plenty of comments on this site of people who have. Saves you porting in and out. Maybe someone else can chime in if it has/hasn't worked for them?

      • This would be great to know, i would great appreciate any other input. I got my dad setup on this and it's been fantastic. His current 12 month one expires in July, so just trying to plan ahead.

        • +1

You can ask customer support to activate this kit and transfer your old number to this account. Thats what I did last week through live chat.

Just a reminder boost mobile don't support call waiting feature.

    • Like if someone calls you while you are talking to someone else. I'm pretty sure they do.

      • Just been on the phone with them for 3 hours yesterday, got told not supported.

        • Well, I can tell you that whenever someone else tries to call me, It gives me a beep and lets me put my current dude on hold.

Maybe your phone is just crap. Have a look in your settings.

    • They do.

    • +1

Boost supports essentially all Telstra features (except eSIM) as they're Telstra managed. They are also the only non Telstra provider with full Telstra network access. Other providers only have Telstra wholesale network access.

      • no 5G either. and the list probably goes on.

    • Have Boost, I get calls waiting all the time? This happened to me during a call an hour ago, what is the problem?

    • I have call waiting and am on Boost.

  • +1

So how do you still get this if you are on boost again? How long do I have to be ported out for before I can get back in?

    • I ported out and ported in straight back twice already with no problem.

      • What do you port out to? Do I need to go and buy a $15 Aldi mobile SIM or something to do this with?

        • First time I used Vodafone and then Optus the second time.

You have to port to another network that doesn't use Telstra's network - Aldi uses Telstra's.

  • This must be the cheapest ever for this plan. Got it for 240 three months back and I’m pretty happy with their International call quality, data speed, app features and customer support.

  • +2

    That's very good price.
If you're already with Boost, simply chat with customer support and told them you accidentally bought this SIM starter pack and they'd happily apply it to you current account. I've done it last month

  • Hey guys what's the benefit to this ?

Isn't it easier just to sign up to 5g or NBN monthly plan

    Or a portable hotspot device.

Was thinking about getting this to use as a mobile hotspot

    • +1

This is $220.50 for the year, not per month.

      • I know $40 a month for 5g or NBN is a little higher but only a little more expensive

        • +1

Actually more than twice the cost

  • You need to be an eBay plus member? Getting an error when I put in the code.

    • Yea you do unfortunately . Can sign up for the 1 month trial and cancel if you haven't done it before or make anew acount

  • Got one. Thanks OP. Had to spend an extra $5 for a month of ebay Plus as I already trial it previously.

  • On the page for me it has use code "PPSS1" for $10 off without eBay plus.

  • On the fence ozbros. Get this or wait for a good jbhifi deal to come?

    Please help

    • +2

Well, for me it's a no brainer. The best JB deal I think is $500 and $69/m I think? That is $328 for the year.

Granted you are getting 4 times more data, but with wifi everywhere, I don't think I will use even 20gb/m.

Plus, you get free apple music and international calls too, which isn't included with JB. That's $10/m extra.

      • True. $500 with $69 minus $10 credit if U do chat

So it's 59 a month and 208 a year which is good and U get binge workaround as well.

But it's just dealing with jbhifi port in and all that really turns me off it tbh.

I like boost for its simplicity.

        • Yup. Plus you have to be off boost for atleast a month (that's what the staff said when I asked anyway).

          • @sh4hp: Nah just find dogdy one that can change the address so by time Telstra finds out they will get Thier bonus quota

But yeah I'm waiting for this to be out of stock completely so I can use that as excuse

Plus I like the binge that comes with Telstra as well.

They changed it around and some cool movies on this that Netflix or Stan dosent have 🤣

If anyone interested there is also Boost Mobile $200 - 150GB Data - 1 Year Prepaid SIM Card Starter Kit 30+120GB Bonus @ $152.09 after eBay Plus code PLUSES10

"30GB + 120GB bonus data on activation, when you activate by 5 July 2021. First recharge by 5 July 2021"

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203471731819

  • Out of stock. Was too slow… again… :-(

  • +1

What happens once the data is all used? Does it just throttle, or cut off completely?

    • +1

Cut off completely. You can purchase booster packs to tide you over.

If you have an android phone you can put data warnings/cutoff so you don't exceed 20gb a month.

  • It's back in stock, but price increased to $246 (before code discount)
