Target really misses the target when it comes to doing business. Fail online ordering system, auto rejection, when order cancelled funds don't return to the gift card, need to manually chase them.

    • This. Had to chase them up for several gift card refunds.

  • Collection 1 of 1
    Packing your item(s)

    that's a good sign :)

    • My one shows Collection 1 of 1 – Processing"…
So it actually mean they are processing for collection, doesn't mean the order is processing, right?

      • I'm guessing it means they have not started packing it at the warehouse to send to the store. Whereas, for the person above, they are either packing it at the warehouse to send to the store or packing it at the store for collection. I am guessing the former is more likely given they were only on sale today and unlikely to have reached the store yet.

  • Give Pakenham JB Hifi a call. They said they had some cancellations and I managed to get one of the disc PS5's 20 minutes ago. They may have 1 or 2 left

Very disappointed with the PS5, would not recommend buying just yet if you have a PS4 Pro and don't have a 4K tv.
Over 30 minutes to install mortal kombat from disc.
Bluray drive still noisey like the PS4 and not much quicker that the PS4.
Games run about the same on a 1080p tv.
New controller is okay… maybe overhyped with the force feedback.
Storage is woeful at around 635 gig, i guess you can install a few games on it but fills up fast and the other SSD storage option not upgradable yet.
New IU is not too bad, apart from the shut down settings are a pain to use.
    Setup very easy.
Lots of PS4 games backward compatible
A lot less apps available compared to PS4 at this stage.
Games and peripherals are super expensive in general.
Maybe wait for the next version in the works already.

Maybe your PS5 is faulty? Haven't had any of the problems you've mentioned, quiet as a whisper.
Have PS4 Pro and had PS5 since release and couldn't be happier. With haptic feedback you need a game that actually supports it, I would recommend Returnal, brilliant experience with pulse 3d and 4k!

With PS4 Pro, the fan noise can be quite loud when playing games. While PS5 fan isn't as quiet as Series X, it is still a big improvement.
UHD blu-ray disc drive - yes, still noisy, but (1) it is now UHD bllu-ray and (2) Series X one is also noisy too.
PS Plus Collection - with those games, it helps reducing the need to use discs (at least for those games).
60fps is still better than 30fps.

Slow install from disc: it's the same for all consoles (or even PC). Also, I am not sure about how fast your NBN is, I would be happy to get a game downloaded in 30 minutes.

If you are very disappointed with PS5, you can always sell it.

    • On storage size, if more games can take advantage of Kraken hardware compression/decompression, then game size could be smaller.

      Example: Control Ultimate Edition

      PS5 File Size: ~25 GB
      XSX File Size: ~42 GB

That's 50% reduction in size using Kraken. Sony does need to enable the m.2/NVMe slot a.s.a.p. though.

  • The MoFos cancelled both orders!!

Target is hopeless when it comes to online shopping

  • Anyone got their order yet? Mines been in the shipping to your store status all week!

    • I picked mine up in store in Toowoomba, QLD on Wed afternoon.

      • Just got a message it's ready for collection! Probably been sitting out the back for two days!
