This list is correct as of today but is subject to change but should work for at least a few weeks.

Enjoy! 😁

Thanks for this. Can you trade in PS4 games towards a Switch game? Or do they have to be the same platform?

Any platform will work. I traded in a PS4 and Xbox game for a Switch Game

  •

    Thanks heaps mate

  •

I'm guessing you can't do it multiple times?

So, I traded 2 games into EB a few years back, got like $9 each for them. I then bought them back again and traded for Cyberpunk under the $29 deal.

Would they stop me from re-buying and doing the trade deal again?

    •

No, you can do as many times as you can. as long as you have two games in the list and they open a deal for a new game.

      •

        Ooh, thanks!

  •

    Good man!

Which games are eligible to purchase with this trade in deal?

I saw that the new Ratchet & Clank for PS5 is $49 when you trade two games, assuming it's the same list?

Ironman and GTAV will be my trade ins, both completed and gathering dust.

    •

Sometimes prices vary but mostly it's trade 2 and pay $29. I personally wouldn't be willing to pay much more.
As far as games to trade for…I only know of a few switch games. Zelda, Mario Golf and the upcoming Pokemon games.
Switch games hold their RRP, so I only go for them because by the time I play other console games they have dropped to $29.
An example is the last two games I bought with this deal was Cyberpunk and Assassin's Valhalla. Neither have I played and they aren't far off $30 already…

  •

Thanks for the list, appreciate it.

About the list, only 3 games that are $24 each at EB Games (RE4 PS4, Re5 PS4 and DMC HD Collection PS4) and only about 6 games that are $28 each at EB.

It’s pretty much guaranteed that any game that they are selling it for $34 could qualify, but not all of them, Spider-Man PS4 is $34 but only trades-in for $9.

It seems that they are getting toughest with the games included.

    •

There used to be a lot more $28 games that qualified last time, and that was the ballpark figure I went by in the past - I was able to trade in Kingdom Hearts 2.8 on PS4 and get $10 trade credit and that was at a $28 preowned price (it's still that price now), but I guess bump it up to $30-34 minimum now, with exceptions as you've mentioned?

Some of the SKUs there still don't have pages unfortunately, and can't be linked directly to in the Find a Store page. I wonder if the pages do exist and they're just deactivated because they have 0 stock at all of them (and no one has traded them in), or because they haven't created those pages yet.

Found another 2 games I bought for under $5 each in their 2020 Christmas sale that are on the list, thanks for posting the updated list OP, I appriecate it alot. :)

Looking forward to paying under $60 for Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart tomorrow, rather than the absurd asking price of $125, plus I get nearly 250 EB world points.

    •

      wondering which two are they

      •

Not on sale anymore, but Dungeons 3 and Mutant Football League, they were both under $5 in their Christmas sale. For Returnal I used Zombieland Double Tap and Arc of Alchemist. I reccomend buying the more niche games they have on super sales in the annual christmas sales if you want to do this in the future.

  •

    Good stuff op.

  •

I think they revalued the games from JB's deal 2 for $30. Just tried 4 games from the list but they are now $7 for trade-in.

    •

Interesting, I did Goat Simulator yesterday from there and it worked

Also did Skully, Ary and Seasons, State of Decay which were $9, $9 and $5 from JB so maybe hunt those down?

I may have gotten lucky going in yesterday, I nearly didn't

      •

I tried Travis strikes again, which were $20 if not wrong, on Tuesday. But today, the same one, $9 now.

    •

Thanks for the heads up. Was going to grab some in the morning then go to EB to trade (in Melbourne so no opportunity til now)…honestly CBF with the mucking around.

      •

        Try to call EB first.

  •

    Heck, any update OP?

  •

If anyone is wondering. Spiderman Ps4 didn't work at my Ebgames.

    • +1 vote

Not massively surprised as it wasn't even on OP's original list

      •

        Yeah oops that's my oversight.

    •

      Spiderman is $7 now.

      •

        Yeah that's correct

  •

Just a quick update from 10/06 for some popular games.

    Spiderman PS4 $7
    God of War PS4 $2
    Horizon: Zero Dawn $3
    Monster Hunter: World $5

  •

    Another update.

EB started a sale this morning, so many games' trade-value are reduced. Hope they will come back when the sale is gone.
    Time to buy.

  •

I think I can see why the trade credit was reduced so suddenly.

They are doing a "double trade credit" promo but have lowered the trade in rates, scummy af

      Very scummy

      •

Really handy to have that happen the day lockdown ends for VIC……

  •

Highly recommend heading into Big W and seeing what games they have on clearance.

I just picked up F1 2020 on XB1 for $10, called EB Games and it's eligible.

There were a few other titles I could have picked up for $10 too.

  • +2 votes

Skully is still eligible as of today 11/07 and quite a few jb hi fi have them for $9..picked up ratchet n clank today for a grand total of $67.

  •

Nothing better to do so went on a bit of a mission, quite difficult with the pre-owned sale now happening. Finally found two games at JB for $30 so $79 for ratchet is pretty decent but probably not worth the effort…
Just Dance 2020 PS4 is eligible.

  •

The sale finished but a lot of my games worth more than $30 are still not eligible…any chance this will change in the future?
