That's a lot of phone for $139.. I don't care what you say.

    • Low end phone market has picked up.

      U can find useful.phones now for 170.

      Uses to be 220.

Way too many phones on the planet

      • I bought the original A5 Pro which was actually a good expereince given the fact it has an antiquated processor and it micro usb but it is what it is.

The A7 is still under rma which sort of sours my experience with them. They're in Granville btw.

Granted they want you to post back the phone and they will reimburse your postage but eh…

    • I bought a Nokia 5.1 Plus 2 years ago with the same P60 SOC for 200 or so at JB. 2 Years later and a China phone for 139 is just meh.

  • How do you make a profit?!

    • +1

these cost less than $50 usd to make en masse and they use 3nd rate components.(ie. samsung might get 2nd rate, defence medical aerospace gets 1st rate)

witness the last round with the A7 pro that seemed to have a variety of issues OOTB that was contained to even this forum alone

      • What are these 3rd and 2nd rate components?

        • -3

components in the phone, ram rom etc. is all quality tests much like cpus are speed binned

so tsmc might make a 1gb ram module where tier 1 is the best of the best and ends up in fighter planes, satellites and medical equipment

2nd tier might end up in industrial machinery, mechanisation, boeing 737max (LOL)

3rd tier might end up in iphones and other high end devices

Z tier is what ends up in no name china phones

          • @tonyjzx: Do you have a source and any other info for this?

            • +6

@afoveht: no i'm just pulling it all out of my ass

thanks for coming to my ted talk

              • +3

@tonyjzx: You may be mistaking mil-, industrial- and commercial spec. but this is very different to the idea of 2nd / 3rd rate, each spec carrying it's own guarantees with absolute maximum ratings and recommended operating conditions. So yeah, you might well be pulling it out of your arse, but I would have liked to have learnt more.

                • @afoveht: do your own research

why are you asking if you know so much

of course there's stuff like modules that are immune to radiation and temp variations but that would be obvious to anyone whos had any engineering experience

                    @tonyjzx:

why are you asking if you know so much

Because you presented something I have not heard of, yet it sounded like possibly an insider's tale that would have been very interesting. But that suspicion has quickly pretty much gone now.

eBay is honouring the code so the store isn't taking the hit.

      • +1

even so $180 for a 6gb 128gb phone w/ mediatek p60 and fhd+ defies the base value of the components in the bom

        b28a/b but no nfc?

        • The P60 chipset would be really cheap given it's a few years old, however the certification for B28 adds to the cost. They're definitely making a small amount of profit on these.

  • Still using A5 for Pokemon, still going strong, wonder if I should update?

    • +1

to me these $100-$150 phones are disposable quasi wifi tablets eventually

use them as a phone, as newer stuff comes along you leave then around the house as lookup devices, mp3 etc.

    • +1

I use my old Xiaomi Note 3 Pro for Pokemon just around the house lol so old phones still play it find they just get warm where as my Oppo Reno G5 does not.

  • Hi the code is not working . It says “looks like the code is not ready yet. Please try again later”.

  • Got a message when trying to use the code above."Looks like the code isn't ready yet"

  • How come it’s deal when the code provided is not working.

    • I bought it for a friend and it went through at 139.99. You need to have Ebayplus.

  • Great buy, cheaper than a Samsung screen replacement lol

Strange that anyone would be buying this when we just had this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/619259

Not quite as good a phone though :)

  • only had a quick look, but doesn't look like there's been much success unlocking the bootloader and getting root on this thing.

  • Is this better than a7 Pro. I bought that and it had a faulty finger print reader and the screen rotation didn't work. So I got a refund.

    • +1

A7 pro I ordered was everything perfect
except battery which ACCU battery estimated at 3700 mAh instead of 4150mAh.
I Mean it could be simply be the ACCU battery software being not accurate or battery degraded simply.
And of course not being able to use the screen navigation guestures on any non stock Android launcher.
Still could not be any more happier with my purchase

  • Pulled the pin can't see a better cheap phone.

  • For 2$ extra I'd recommend Redmi 9 NFC AU$141.98 free shipping

    https://au-m.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-Xiaomi-Redmi-9…

    • My redmi note 9t 5g (from banggood)
      so faulty that

Vibration doesn't work at all so it's with get shocked with ton of sound or get no notification when at work with silent mode aka vibrate on or whatever.
And the Gmail hardly ever gives me notification while all the other apps give notification just fine

And banggood are a pain in the as* to deal with can guarantee you that

  • Great Cheap spying Device!

  • Purchased 6gb version. So far camera is great. Phone nice and fast. Seems great phone for $175.

  • Great price, so tempted. I just wish it had nfc!
