$10 Bidding Credit to Celebrate Plaza Premium Airport Lounge Re-Opening @ LoungePair

80

To celebrate the recommencement of Trans-Tasman travel, and the reopening of the Plaza Premium Airport Lounges in Sydney and Brisbane on 31 May, LoungePair is offering a $10 credit (no expiry) for OzBargain members who create a new user account between now and midnight Wednesday.

Note that the re-opening of the Plaza Premium Lounge in Melbourne has been pushed back due to the lockdown, but will likely reopen in the coming month.

Plaza Premium will be offering 30% off the standard walk-up price for 2 hours of airport lounge access between now and August, which will drop the price to approximately $38 when purchased directly online.

LoungePair guarantees that if you make a bid at $38 for any of these lounges, you'll get access, so this means you'll effectively pay $28 per person.

Note that the credit will show in your account, and can be redeemed towards your first successful bid for any lounge available via LoungePair, not just these three lounges.

It has no expiry as long as you have a user account

You'll want to keep an eye on the opening hours on the Plaza Premium website, but currently, this is what they propose (all in local time):

Brisbane
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 0630 – 1400; Sunday 0630 – 1200; Wednesday Close.

Melbourne
Monday to Sunday 0600 – 1300

Sydney
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 0600 – 2000; Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 0600 – 1400

In other news, Plaza Premium has entered into a joint arrangement with Menzies Aviation, which will see two lounges in Christchurch and Queenstown respectively be re-branded. This means these lounges will also be purchasable at some point in the future.

  • Expiry date of this $10 credit?

Hey Alvian - no expiry. Will remain on your account as long as you have one.

  • Anyone been to one of these branded lounges? How does it compare vs Qantas/virgin (which are included for most ff vs paying 38/28 or this one?)

Is it a max 2hr visit? How do they police the 2hour entry..? You wear an electronic tag and it yells at you when times up?

    • I don't have any means to verify whether "most ff" have Gold or Platinum status or travel in Business class but common sense suggests it's not the case.

Never stepped into Australian lounges, but quite a few times visited Dubai and Singapore ones using Priority Pass, they're mediocre, at best, at all times, but that depends on who is operating them. I would not consider paying for a visit out of pocket unless it's a very long connection.

  • Op i have free entry via diners club and priority pass so can credit be used for something else like premium beers? Anyway thanks i signed up the kids.

Hi Coolsteps! We may have options available like these available in future but not right now. Thanks for signing up the kids!

By the way, Plaza Premium and PP have cut ties (see comment below). Though your Diners would still give you access as the arrangement with them as a card issuer is seperate.

  • Is it true that Plaza Premium lounges would not be allowing Priority Pass members from July this year?
