Bosch 83 Piece V-Line Titanium Drill Bit and Screwdriver Bit Set with Led Torch and Adjustable Spanner (For Wood, Masonry, and Metal) on sale for $41.30, normally $59.

Looks a good set for jobs that arent too demanding around the home. For tough drilling jobs I'd suggest buying higher quality bits individually as needed.

Almost the best price seen previously which was $40.99 according to CamelCamel

I got the 91pc last time - no complaints other than the bits are VERY secure and sometimes a little hard to get in and out.

    • +3

Yes. I've cut a finger trying to get a drill bit out and pressed too hard.

    • Agree big time.. Annoying AF. But otherwise, a bargain

Would this work well with the ozito kit? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/615556

    • +2

Yes. I have Ozito cordless drill and this Bosch kit

  • +2

The metal bits in my last v-line kit broke quickly. YMMV

    • What would you expect for that price

You pay for what you get

    • -1

      Then neg the deal please

    • +1

Same. You get what you pay for. Not a single masonry bit lasted longer than the first or second drilling. Perfect for the odd job around the house once in a while but most definitely not for the weekend DIYer.

      • -5

        YGWYPF.

Of course thats what you paid.

But maybe not, we only have your word you paid for it, maybe the credit card bounced, and thats when the bit died, or maybe they sent you the wrong kit.Do you have proof thats what you paid for?

Then again I guess whatever you paid and they sent is what you paid for. That satisfying the comment you got what you paid for.

I guess the real point is did you get value for what you paid for?

        ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

        • IVY must be taking the day off…

          • -2

            @websterp: LOL
            at least
            some get
            my humour….
            But Please….
            Not IVY

To me YGWYPF is a bit like saying nothing really.

Of course you did because thats what "you" paid. I got what I paid for because thats what "I" paid.

How can we ever truly define it.

Here at Ozbargain, we are really trying to get more than what we would payfor (normally). Hence a bargain.

Thanks for feedback. It's what I suspected of bosch green tools.

From where I stand, it seems like these sets are more about having quick access to a range of bits that you may only need to use once or twice. If you're doing work with lots of repetition, like building something, your better off focusing on a single system ie buying a pack of 1000 8mm phillips heads screws, with a quality 8mm drill bit and a strong Phillips head driver bit. Projectfarm on youtube has been invaluable in that respect. I switched to Milwaukee shockwave driver bits after watching his video, and it's been well worth it.

      • Bosch green is DIY. Milwaukee is professional level.

      • You mean a more expensive set for professionals is better than a dirt cheap set? Who would have thunk it?

  • +1

As above, very annoying to get bits in and out.

    Metal bits broke easily

Found the timber and masonry ones pretty good.

Worth it overall for the price.

  • +1

I have this set. Itโ€™s perfect for DIY around the house. I used masonry bits several times and they are pretty good. Just a tip for DIYer, let the drill do the drilling and donโ€™t put any pressure on the drill.

    • +1

And when using masonry bits, use a hammer drill…. preferably, rotary

  • This one or the Ryobi drilling set? Looking for the odd jobs around the house.

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-56-piece-impact-drilling-aโ€ฆ

    • What you using it for? the Ryobi one dosnt have any Masonry sets,

  • +1

They donโ€™t appear to be impact driver bits so only suitable for a non impact driver and would break quickly In an impact driver

  • Can't add to cart. OOS

  • Saying $65 for me?

  • +2

Bought last time, they are slightly more durable than using a piece of cheese for a drill bit. Would not recommend.

  • the 91 pc one is almost the same price :/ or do they have different things as well

  • This or the aldi drill bits?

    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-29-โ€ฆ

Can anyone comment on the materials that they're made of and advise which is better?

    • IMO the Aldi ones. Not because the bits are better but because you can more likely reuse the case as any cheap bits break and you replace then (either individually or from another set).

I bought this Bosch kit in a previous deal thinking the case looked great as the running kit. But as per the first post it's more of a PITA.

And to be fair the Aldi bits have done fine for more projects than I expected albeit just pine and plywood, but still …

  • I bought the 91 piece set during Black Friday, mainly because I wanted the ratcheting screwdriver (and have used it a fair bit around the house). Only $49 atm.
