  • Wonder if this going to be cheaper next week with latitude June sale ? And will OW beat it ?

    • +1

What’s the “ latitude June sale”

& yes OW will price beat but cheaper to get the $50 sign up code & buy from Samsung

      • $150 credit latitudepay June sale ..

  • Unfortunately, doesn't stack with $200 loyalty voucher. Looks like we ozbargained that. Oh well.

    $598 with newsletter.

    • Have you actually tried it yourself or going by what the chat agents are saying because these guys told us before they don't stack when they actually did on the S21 trade up deal. Just wondering if it's worth the hassle to ask them for one.

If anyone has a $200 code can you please check and let us know please?

I am keen on getting one if we can confirm that they stack.

      • Tried it myself. Loyalty code doesnt work.

  • Is this the Snapdragon or Exynos version?

    • Looks like SD version. Model number SM-G780GLVIXSA.

  • means s21 FE is around the corner.

I am still waiting for samsung a21s or vivo x50 lite on sale. Waiting for $250 phone

  • This or A52 5g (I appreciate this isn’t 5g).

    • +1

      This over A52.

      • Any particular reasons? Thanks in advance.

        • +2

          Chipset: A52 - Qualcomm SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G (8 nm) vs S20FE - Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G (7 nm+)
          CPU: A52 - Octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 570) vs S20FE - Octa-core (1x2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4x1.8 GHz Kryo 585)
          GPU: A52 - Adreno 619 vs S20FE - Adreno 650

Real world use it would be substantially smoother & faster and I'd best guess the battery life being better as well.

          • @aligind4h0us3: Not to mention, camera is also miles ahead of A52

            • @Lesco Brandon: That I wasn't sure so I didn't want to comment on!

            • @Lesco Brandon: Genuine question: why's that?
Is it just that S20FE has optical zoom?
When I check the specs it says:

              A52:
              64 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.7X", 0.8µm, PDAF, OIS
              12 MP, f/2.2, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1.12µm
              5 MP, f/2.4, (macro)
              5 MP, f/2.4, (depth)

              S20FE:
              12 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.76", 1.8µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS
              8 MP, f/2.4, 76mm (telephoto), 1/4.5", 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom
              12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1/3.0", 1.12µm

@Dungeon Master: Hard to tell from specs these days, all about software, for example pixel 5 is still using the same camera sensor from the pixel 2

  • So what's the consensus on this vs. the 5g model? Is there one? $100 difference excluding the $50 voucher.

    • -5

      5g vs 4g.

      • +1

        Thanks, very helpful.

        • -2

You asked for the difference. If you don't need 5g then save your money and get the 4g variant (just make sure it's got the SD chip).

          • +1

@aligind4h0us3: Except that's not the only difference.

          • @aligind4h0us3: How do we know whether the 4 G model will have the SD chip? Do all Australian stock have SD chips now or still case by case? Thanks.

            • +1

@Falcman: It will say new model - it's the 2021 version you want to look for.

            • +1

@Falcman: All the model number should have SM-G780GXXXXXXX

  • Back to $849 now it seems?

  • 50 voucher no more. price gone up. AH!!!!!!!!!!!!! anywhere else I can get it for best deal?
