Cheapest SIM Plan with Downloadable Call History

Hey folks!

I'm on the lookout for the cheapest plan (prepaid or postpaid) which can provide me with call history.

I had a Vodafone plan previously and the bill contained the info (numbers called, call duration, time of call etc.)

I do not necessarily need any data, so even talk and text plans would be alright.

I looked up OzB and could find the $5 Dodo Plan. Can anyone with Dodo let me know if they get a bill with call history?

Or is there any other plan I can chose?

Thanks!

  • Why do you need the call history? You can usually see this info using your phone under “recent calls”.

    • It's work related. I have to give proof of calls made to clients and the call history via phone isn't accepted as a reliable source. It is wierd in today's time and age, but can't do much :/

Sorry, I'm sure you've already considered this, but if it's work related and you have to give proof of calls, isn't the onus on the employer for supplying something? Or at least reimbursing you in full?

        • Yeah mate, this would have been the perfect scenario. But when I started this role, I was offered a lower pay with reimbursements and another with a higher pay and no such reimbursements. So, I chose to get a higher salary and thus am trying to save now!

      • Tell theme to add MDM to the device.

    daddy is checking someone….

  • Kogan has this feature, you can get 90 days/ $15

    • Cool! I did consider this offer, but didn't go ahead because the $15 offer was for new users only, so I would have to pick another provider after 90 days or pay the normal price.

Would still keep this one as an option though, as it also includes data.

pay normal price or port out to another, then come back after more than 30 days as I remember

I have the Dodo $5 plan and yes you get a call summary. It’s not prepaid, it’s actually postpaid and you can make calls that aren’t included in the plan cost, which will be billed the next month. It includes voicemail deposit and retrievals in the call summary also. I find that useful as I, like yourself, use it for business purposes and listening to a 10 min voicemail counts as client contact time.

    • That's great! Thanks for the confirmation, justdigi :)

Would it work if u just found an app that backs up your call history instead in an Excel/csv ? I guess it won't have the itemised breakdown of costs, but usually calls are free anyway

not a 3rd party proof, OP can simply make such a document

    • I guess the employer just wants an official record only to check if I am actually "working from home" and keeping in touch with clients. That's why call duration and phone numbers are needed.
