Vitamix E310 High-Performance Blender $449 (Was $599) Delivered @ David Jones

120

Decent deal on a Vitamix blender.
Made in USA
5 year warranty.

Not sure how this compares to the Ascent series which is ~750$ mark.

But seems like a great deal at $449 for a simple design without bells and whistles that would break over time.

David Jones usually sells these for $399 when on special - being stingy this time around lol.

  • Can someone help me understand why these are worth the big $$??

    • Top quality, top warranty, should last 10+ years. And of course they blend fantastically

    • They don't. You can spend less and have a great product. But like all things if you have money you need to spend them somehow. Who needs a Porsche to drop the kids at school?

    • I went from a Nutribullet to one of these 2 years ago and believe it was well worth the purchase. I use it a couple times a week to blend nuts and the Nutribullet result was chunkier and had a hard time blending. I don't even need to soak the nuts in the Vitamix and still get a vastly creamier and smoother result.

  • Has anyone got any experience with this or the Breville Super Q ? I've been eyeing off the Super Q but heard Vitamix is also a good brand of Blender.
    Its mainly for smoothies.

I don't have the Breville (have the Vitamix E310 and a Philips Vacuum blender), but if I were to choose between
the two, I'd choose the Breville with the VacQ vacuum pump. The Vitamix is a powerful machine, but the smoothies it produces are too frothy compared to a vacuum blender. The Breville will likely be quieter too; have yet to come across a blender louder than the Vitamix.

  • Great price. Three more of these bargains and I'll finally be able to afford a pair of RM Boots 😎

  • Im waiting for these to be $399 before i get one. I missed out twice already argh…

Can someone please let me know if these are noisy? My nutrininja is sooo noisy >.<

    Thanks!!

    • Very noisy! I've only had mine for a few weeks, but I still haven't pushed it to its highest setting as I am so conscious of the noise because I live in an apartment.
It's a great blender, and I will get the courage soon enough, but for now, I only need to go mid-speed for my morning smoothies.

      I still recommend it!

      • Thanks for the reply.

Oh man, hopefully they fix this issue!!

        • I don't think it's an issue that needs to be fixed per se, it's just the result of an incredibly powerful motor.

They’ve been at this price for a while now. 399 is where the sale gets interesting

Was $383 ($479 minus 20%) during recent POK ebay sale. Wasn't much stock though.
Pay with egift cards and it came to less than $364.

  • E series and Ascent series use similar motors if im not wrong. So performance wise both of them will be similar. Ascent series is expensive because it simply has more tech (jug detection, built-in blending program and wifi).

Havent tried the Breville but can vouch for Vitamix, totally worth the money if you can find one on sale. The smoothies it makes is extremely smooth
with hardly any pulps or chunks at all. Vitamix also has excellent warranty policy

    • I went with the Ascent Series in the POK ebay sale for ~$560 as it had a 10 year warranty vs 5 Year on the 310 Series and the Ascent Series is compatible with there newer range of accessories. Looking on Facebook market place there seems to be alot of the older model E310 with issues with the variable switch, It may of been fixed in the new models but the 10 year warranty put me at ease.

  • Amazon has now updated their price as $449 now as well.
Might be cheaper for someone to buy using discount vouchers via Macquarie/Suncorp etc.
Looks like Macquarie does 3% discounted Amazon cards - so a saving of ~$13
