  • Possibly can price match at TGG & use further 10% off only today
making it $287.10, & pay with discounted giftcards.

    • just called tgg they can price match but cannot do price beat. Also we cannot apply further 10% discount.

      • 10% off is in-store as well as online.

        • that is correct but the staff told me either get a price match or 10% discount

      • Tell them to get lost and you will buy from competition!

  • Looked at this phone in person today. The blue is way brighter and stands out more in person.
Definitely feels cheap compared to a pixel. Still good value probably.

you use a case anyway, if it is not a clear one, you wont see the colour of the phone at all

Specs seem ok, but that 12 month warranty is a little off-putting. Oppo, Nokia, Vivo, Realme, etc all come with 2 year warranties.

Plus the last Motorola phone I had died due to a swollen battery after 18 months.

Motorola durability is questionable. Still a good phone for the price though. Remember to sell it before it dies, and it will becomes someone else problem.

use ACCC and you get the extra 12 months

      • How?

        • +5

You use the term expected life expectancy by ACCC, the manufacturer should repair the phone for you

"Telstra variant" for me is always a little off putting, so for me this beats the one at JB then.

    • Motorola list Retail: Dual nanoSim + microsd Carrier: Single nanoSim + microsd. so good call.

      • I can verify this, I just purchased a Telstra Variant. As I had to use JB Hifi Gift Cards

  • NFC??

    • Yes.

  • I think its a runout sale, to be replaced by the newer Moto G100 and Moto G50.

  • Hi All.

Just purchased the Telstra Variant from JB Hifi.(due to Gift Cards)

It has a Part Number of PAK90018AU.

I was hoping to find out from someone who purchased the Moto G 5G Plus from Officeworks it's Phone's Part Number.

Trying to find out if there is any difference.

    Thanks

  • Hi Guys,

    An Update

The Telstra Variant is only Single Sim.

    • no SD card slot?

      • I purchased the Telstra variant from JB for the same price.

It accepts 1 sim and 1 SD card. I have a 128GB card working fine in it and using 5G on Optus just fine too.

No Telstra bloat or software installed, the only reference to Telstra on the device is in the about section under settings. It has a software channel "telstra", which makes sense since updates need to be approved by Telstra first before hitting this device.

Overall really impressed with this device, excellent performance and it's worked flawlessly for me so far. Enjoying the new found convenience of google pay.

I believe an android 11 update has yet to hit the device, but it's coming soon. I can see people overseas have started getting it on those variants.

Difference between the retail and telstra versions just come down dual sim support on retail and different software update stream. Besides that they appear to be identical. I always use a SD card so the second sim card option was never used on my older phones.

        • Yep.

It accepts 1 sim and 1 SD card.

The wife is very happy with the phone.

  • I bought this from officeworks. The sim tray looks like a hybrid. 1 Sim 1 Micro SD or 2 Sim. Phone has 2 imei numbers. Solid specs for the price.

Ordered the phone online and they took the payment. 2 days later emailed me that due to security reasons they had to cancel my order and issued me a refund.
I never buy online except from Amazon. I always go to store and buy but this time I tried online and they didn't deliver.
David Jones also cancelled my order last month.
I don't understand why they show online stock and then cancel it.
