  Good MB. Had a couple of RAM related crashes on a particular version of BIOS when running 32GB, but has been rock solid ever since.

  issues with cold start. make sure your case has a Reset button.

  This is a monster motherboard for the price. I bought the B550-F for $290 late last year while this B550-E was priced near $350.

  Overkill for 90% of people, but at this price, difficult to ignore.

  The main advantages that this motherboard has over the B550-F are:

  • The top two PCIe slots can be split into two PCIe 4.0 (x8/x8) lanes for multi-GPU or a crazy NVMe raid config.
  • Internal USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 front-panel header (full speed 10 Gbps, not the 5 Gbps Gen 1 headers other vendors provide).
  • Q-Code LED for troubleshooting (if you're into that).

  If you don't need any of the above, then the B550-F is probably a better buy - but only if it's cheaper than this!

  One of the best boards if you don't want a chipset fan (x570) or don't want to wait for x570s boards which aren't much better.

  Also $229 at pccasegear (excluding shipping), $245 at amazon
