Really light laptop at 966g. The 16:10 QHD screen is nice. Feels great, unfortunately when I tried it out at JB HiFi the keyboard travel was much too small for me to get used to typing on it. Otherwise I would've gotten one.

        Unfortunately the i7-1165G7 is inferior to the Ryzen 4800u in the S540 in a lot of applications.

          I'd recommend the i5 yoga over this tbh. No way this is sustaining the high clock rate in this chassis.

          Definitely go the Ryzen, single core is only where intel will win for short bursts and I doubt it in this chassis.

      S540 have better cpu…. Ryzen 4800U almost 50% faster.

    Good one, I am highly recommend this that I have been used for months. powerful TDP release and decent design and material made. extreme light weight also the points if you dont mind Lenovo brand other than DELL & HP…

    How does this compare to the LG GRAM? Any other brands/models similar to this? Don't really need gaming laptop but needs to have at leat 16GB RAM. EOFY coming up.
    Also back keyboard with back lighting would be a plus and good cooling performance. Silver keys are harder to see/use.

      i have the base LG Gram EVO 16, price matched at JB Hifi for 1679.

      LG Gram 14 doesn't come with 16 GB ram so spec wise this is definitely better.

      with intel 11th gen it is capable of accomodating 4222Mhz RAM, 8GB is more than enough if you're not a power user tbh.

      keyboard wise gram is better, really tactile and has loads of travel. the one on the yoga slim felt artificial to me when i tested it out at Jb Hifi, felt too tactile and in an unnecessary way. By no means a bad keyboard but it is something to consider.

    I had this one it gets quite hot and the battery is very weak.

    I had screen issues so took it back and got a zen book in the end much happier

        I got the 13 flip only had i5 and 8gb of ram but plenty for me there is a i7 model with 16gb I think

    The M1 Air has completely changed my perspective on value-orientated performance in laptops.

    I've been on windows forever but now I'm seriously considering switching simply because there's nothing on windows that matches the build quality, screen and performance for the same money.

      Yeah at least for now the M1 MBA is such good value that it makes a lot of Windows laptops redundant unless you're buying a specialised laptop like a gaming laptop or need to use Windows apps predominantly (although Parallels Desktop has gotten really good on M1).

        It's quite insane how good Apple's first try turned out. Much like everyone I assumed that Apple's first iteration would be craptastic just like Microsoft, but even now the emulated performance on M1 is even better than many windows laptops running natively…

    Is there a better 1kg, 16gb ram laptop at this price? Don't care much about screen quality as it'll be docked 90% of the time.
