Don't like their promo. Last time, I bought a motherboard and they just say the supply ran out already.

It doesn't say how many units in their promo. Very dodgy Gigabyte.

      That's really dodgy practices

      • Learnt that not to join promo where the condition is while stock last

        • Also keep a note in diary of ETA as they might not deliver and you'll need to be in touch with them.

          • @chyawala: My advice is dont trust gigabyte. I trust MSI promo

I don't think I've ever heard a promo that doesn't say "While stocks last". I got the promo from Gigabyte last time around, but it was like pulling teeth. MSI haven't been too bad. I've also had Asus not honour a giveaway in one instance, and then in another randomly mail me a gaming headset saying I won a giveaway.

My takeaway is never consider these promos as part of the value; if you get the free thing, great. If not, well you won't be disappointed.

          • @theresnorevolution: Gigabyte are the absolute worst for these bait and switch promotions luring people in to buy their junk with the promise of free gifts that never come.

    • Agree, these promo come very fast, it's like 3 seconds man…

Do not buy from gigabyte. Got burned purchasing a 3070 laptop when the 'free monitor' easter promotion was on. They ended the promotion while the laptop was shipping to me and refused to redeem it.the customer service were also rude, took weeks to reply and were particularly unhelpful.

Absolute dog shit company. I returned the laptop and would never buy a gigabyte product again.

    Don't trust them.

  • Is the 34" monitor a good price or am I best to look at another brand instead?

    • Don't even look, buy the monitor and then you are unable to claim the promo. This is what happened to us.

  • Any one bought the G32QC? Would appreciate some feedback on the monitor itself (already taken notes about the dodgy practice of backing out of promo).

  • Hey guys, I purchased a m27q monitor from centrecom jist last week and when applying for this, getting error serial number not valid etc. Also the tag on monitor doesn't have that check number. Any ideas ?

I have just been stitched up on this promotion. Ordered a 34" monitor and went to redeem only to find it required a serial number on the item to do so; by the time the item arrived with Auspost they have been "Fully Redeemed".
Contacted the Aorus ANZ Facebook page as instructed on the redemption page but receive no response.
Contacted Gigabyte directly through their esupport channel and receive something along the lines of "the promotion was very popular and we are now out of stock" though that message seems to have disappeared from my support profile after I responded.
Has anyone considered contacting Consumer Affairs about Gigabyte, especially if they have a history of doing this?

Sorry to hear that, seems like they have a pattern here. I've marked this as OoS so no-one else buys with this in mind now…

      • Not your fault OP, just wish I have had seen the feedback on Gigabytes promotions here first. Thinking about asking the question so they don't keep getting away with it.
