    Most prices in DJ after discount are still higher than everyday prices in other stores like KMart / Amazon etc.

      That is true of the normal, run of the mill sets, the big Creator Expert and Ideas sets are often not in Kmart and these prices are pretty good.
      I got Pirates of Barracuda Bay at 20% off from Myer ($239) in February, shipped horribly and damaged box.
      25% off from David Jones beats that.

    I wouldn't buy 3in1 at that discount when gets to like 50-60% off quite regularly based on the past .

      Arguably the best and most comparable 3in1 is the pirate ship which regularly goes for $95. Better than DJs $119 but not 50-60% off.

        I loaded with the stuff in that range . The Pirate Rollar coaster I got at like $44 ( $120 RRP ) . Other small sets in that range ,
        I'm saying the range not the newbies where you need to wait for the eventual clearance sales .
        I'm only up to like 34% if I choose to use gift cards but no doubt I will get to my range .
        Nothing here for me , the closest is the Crocodile Train but I don't trust em retiring it .

          you won't be getting the 3in1 castle for 50-60% off IMHO. The cheaper shittier 3in1s sure, on clearance etc.

            @DevGuy: Try Pirate Ship at $95 (40% off ) , then use 1 or 2 stacking and I 'm in my range . That is a better one .
            I mean all of em . I wouldn't buy it at the lower end of my range though . Maybe if retiring .

                I tried searching on the site as well when this deal popped up but couldn't find it, but it showed up when I googled "lego nes david jones" for some reason.

                Maybe the fact that it's "hidden" means there's more of a chance for us to get one ;)

                  @mangobango: Yeh I had to go to previous ozbargain links of davidjones to get to the NES lego system product page. Its like hidden and the searches in the david jones search bar dont show the item. Its like a hidden gem.
