Get Extra Dropbox Quota Using Google Adwords

For those who want extra space on dropbox, here's another method

  • Sign up with Google Adwords and get $75 free credit
  • Create a few ads with your custom dropbox referral URL. This is important or you don't benefit.
  • Watch as each referral adds 250MB to your quota

This netted me 1.5GB at no cost. Should go well with the other Dropbox post from today. I am not sure what keywords work best in the ad. All the best.

EDIT: I had to set my country as USA when signing up for the free trial. Otherwise you don't seem to get the $75 in credit.

    I've always been a SkyDrive person with 25GB, faster upload speeds, hits 330KB/s am on Cable Ultimate, much faster than Dropbox 50-60KB/s ! I don't need to please my provider to get space… lol

      Skydrive doesn't let you sync with other devices though. Live Mesh will give only max 5GB for syncing.

      Doesn't Skydrive still have the 50MB/file limit. And you still have to do workarounds with 3rd party clients to upload a folder.

      you should change your settings to make the upload speed not limited. i always max out my upload speed of (90KB/s)

    I did this a couple of months back, if you have a domain with Godaddy or similar they normally send out codes… It worked well (now I just need to "borrow" an edu email)
