  • My 3.5yo will have fun with this. Thanks OP.

      Recommended for age‎ 5 +.

        Yep, but age recommendation is just a suggestion or marketing (e.g. 18+ sets). Either way I'll sit with him and we'll build the cars together.

        Our 8yo daughter had no problem building the "18+" Minnie Mouse (from the Mickey & Minnie set).

        • It’s not a question of whether it can be done or not, it’s because of fear that the child will swallow it.

            @jimojr: Supervision.

          • @jimojr: I mean… the pieces are the same size as those in the lego classic sets that are recommended for 4+, so it's definitely partly due to marketing who can build it rather than swallowing risk.
            If your 3.5yo knows not to put things that aren't food in their mouth, they should be fine… I'm sure there's a lot of other things around the house that are a greater choking hazard.

          • @jimojr: My 3.5 year old also plays with “little lego” as we like to call it in our house. Never once has he attempted to put it in his mouth. My 1 year old is a different story! He is only allowed duplo under supervision. Great find OP. My 3.5 year old will love it also.

      • I've always wanted to build the Creator Expert Roller Coaster set but unfortunately no time or patience .

        Do you have kids?
        Our children (2 and 4) both play exceptionally well with Lego, the four year old won't let us help him build things so great problem solving training and fine motor practice. Neither have ever been kids to put things in their mouths, but even then as long as you're actually with your kids when they play with it it's fine. The ages arena guideline, not a rule. Probably also some lame legal thing too so you can't sue Lego if your kid chokes.

    • Be aware this set breaks easily.

      1. The entire blue car is fragile, especially the rear
      2. The roof and spoiler of the red car
      • Thanks for the heads up. Might need to add parts to address.
