This game is incredible and I highly recommend everyone play it. I could barely put it down after a few hours and didn't until I got 100% completion.

  • Huge. Was on my Steam wishlist too

    • Steam version was included in a Humble Monthly.

Great game with some bloody and terrifying scenes. A very good video game experience goes hand-in-hand with a nightmare.

  • Is it only free to play during that week or you just have to download it during that week then you can play it whenever?

    • +2

Free forever once added to your library. Download not required for ownership.

  • Genshin Impact also free until June 18 it seems.

Genshin Impact is a free to play game, it will be available free forever.

  • Epic is 40% owned by tencent….

When its free no one complains about China haha…

The majority shareholder is still Tim, and that will likely never change. Epic is also a very American company, look at Tim's activities regarding conservation and their hq location.

I dislike the fact that Tencent have such a large stake as well, but lets not act like they control the company in any way.

      • 40% stake is massive. Tencent also has their own people sitting on the board of Epic Games.

For Tim to come out and say 'Tencent doesn't control Epic Games' is the equivalent of any governing body saying "We investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong".

Fact is that level of stake does have control despite Tim saying otherwise.

        • Depends on their voting power on the board? Do you know how many members they have and the size of the board?

          • @Punkboy: Tencent and Epic are not adversarial, they won't vote against each other's interests as their finances are intertwined - and everything comes down to money.

Tencent doesn't need to own 50%+ stake to control Epic. They just need to control the flow of money to influence Epic's decisions towards being pro-China to increase their cash flow.

Look into how Hollywood movies are being influenced by Chinese audiences. Chinese audiences don't own Hollywood studios, it's just greed on the studio's behalf to change their casting/scripts/trailers ect. based on how well they think the movie will sell in China.

Australians are the last people who should complain about China. Go stroll in a cbd and you will feel like in Beijing.

  • Nice. The 200th free Epic Games giveaway.

  • Strong giveaway, must be trying to draw people to the store so they can see the exclusive title they bought of chivalry 2

  • Thanks OP!!! NOW WHERE IS ALAN WAKE 2?

  • at the rate this is going, I expect Epic to give away Cyberpunk 2077 next month

  • Cheers!

  • It's one of my favourite games. The expansion is also cheap on Epic. I bought them both but had played the first expansion before and loved it.

  • Thank you OP!

A few months ago, I had picked up Control as freebie via PS+ for my PS4. It is a brilliant game - fun, intriguing, a lil spooky, high-tech yet retro vibes, sciency, and action-packed.

Even though my current PC does not have the specifications to adequately run the game and also the fact that I've already played it on PS4, I have still added Control to my Epic account for if/when I get a new PC that can actually game and re-live the Control experience.

  • Dang i almost missed this, probs the first game i'll play from all the freebies
