Only have it for a few days now so can't speak about the longevity, but at under 10 bucks it's worth a shot. Has a super long extended arm which helps get the phone nice and close to the steering wheel, though this one was bought as a 2nd holder for the front passenger. Some reviews mention the plastic melts in the sun though I imagine this would be the case for phone mounts in this price range.

We have 2 other X-Grip Ram mount suction phone holders and even those fall off once or twice a year in the changing temperatures, requiring re-attachment. Positioning wise they are the same though obviously the Ram mount is ten times the cost of this one.
