    Shit screen. Pass

    • The poorer quality screen, which is probably fine for indoor use, is well balanced by a fast CPU, and a good chunk of ram and storage, and hybrid ff with a pen. For $1k it's probably not a bad trade off!

      • Just disable Vari-Bright in Radeon settings which is enabled by default, otherwise the screen looks dark.

Wait for the ideapad pro series models, coming soon.

Good price for the specs, a nicer screen would be preferable tho.

  • How can we get this deal? Is this only for people with .edu.au email addresses?

  • Any reason why the 14 inch model in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/626574 got 65 votes but this deal has only gleaned 18 votes? This model is $74 cheaper…

I'm the OP of a lot of laptop deals, unfortunately I can't give you an answer. Maybe it was the time of the post, or people just prefer a smaller screen.

There are laptop deals posted on OZbargain, where the manufacture is facing a class action in the US due a design fault, causing overheating. People still up vote those deals, despite being advised of the issue. So who knows what people are thinking sometimes.

  • Just got mine and it's DoA… Wifi card has issues and doesn't work with ThinkPad dock Gen2… Tried all different drivers, different cables, etc etc.
