How much is the discount price?

  • +3

the i7+ is a very old model, superseded long ago with the iRobot Roomba s9+, which you can import for less that the $1575 for this one.

      import from where? amazon?

      • Would love to know where you can get an S9+ landed in Australia for $1575 including all taxes and shipping? Also the landed model will only be 110v for the Clean Base so you will need to factor in a heavy duty step down transformer and also no warranty. Head over to the Roomba Reddit forum to see if you want to have an S9 with no warranty.

Kogan did have the imported version for $1499 at one stage with the same caveats but have now bumped up that price to $1999 with the same caveats.

Xiaomi is a lot better than iRobot.

  • +3

At this price, definitely get the Xiaomi instead.

  • I got an s9+ for my mother recently and she's enamoured with it, so no complaints (from her tech support-wise) beside the price. You're just paying for a more powerful, slightly more capable version of this i7+. So in terms of price, unless you've got the cash to splash; there's nothing wrong with this unit. But you do you!

    • Wow Nice. Did you get the local version cheaper than the $2899 Retail ($2200 commercial) pricing?

      • +1

I wish, but I needed it by a certain date so RRP direct from iRobot (weeks before other retailers began to stock them) it was.

  • Can buy two Viomi S9 and still have spare change at 600 a unit..I just got mine and it works just as well as the second gen roborock ..havent tested the mopping but the self emptying works well only if the dustbin is full otherwise it takes a few goes but works nonetheless.. no way is this going to work better.. I would be keen to hear from someone who has both a Roomba self emptying and a Viomi S9 or for that matter a Roomba and a Xiaomi robot Vaccum

  • I definitely buy xiaomi, what the hell I spend that much just for a Vacuum cleaner?! No brainier!

As an owner of a i7 model, this is not a good price, it pops up at Costco quite often on special for $1459. Also worth keeping an eye on Good Guys Commercial site, they also pop up there for much cheaper than this.

    • +1

Agreed. Either Costco or GG Commercial.

  • Why are they copying Intel CPU naming and can it play crysis?

  • Or wait for the Ecovacs T9 AIVI using the same dual rollers, licensed from Roomba-

I've got one. It's great. Bought in January for $1499 (Amazon sale price matched by Joyce Maybe) and haven't had to empty the bin yet. It got lost at the beginning. Now it's mapped the house it does a great job. I have no time to vacuum with a baby. Best thing I've every bought next to my slow cooker
