Riding it will make you feel alive and make passers by envious.

While you're dodging bullets from cops (in NSW).

Recently the UK Police (can't remember which county) shared a story on Facebook showing that they'd just confiscated a number of dangerous e-scooters. It backfired dramatically with thousands of negative comments, i think politicians/lawmakers/police officers should read the room and that the benefits of taking 1 more car off the road far outweigh the negatives.

People die in car crashes which would create huge traffic congestion issues, i'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to kill yourself on a scooter (although still possible) and if you did you wouldn't be holding up half the city.

all that counts is the lost fuel excise revenue…

        • Depends on what you mean by 'dangerous e-scooters'. By their definition, they are dangerous…

Some e-scooters can go very fast and have relatively long stopping distances of 8+ times it's own length. One of these in a bad situation could seriously injure a pedestrian and possibly kill a child.

I'm not saying e-scooters are more dangerous than cars or other forms of transport, it's just that I think the police do have a point when it comes to public safety.

          • @brotherfranciz: These were scooters that were capped at 25km/h, slower than a bicycle.

Yes i admit there are dangerous ones out there that can do 40km/h+ and they are a bit fast for mixing with pedestrians.

    • Rather these than those stupid John laws motorbikes

  • same as 1s ?

    • how is this compare to 1s ?

    • +1

Looks much the same except for battery capacity but that affects how well it goes uphill.
1s slows down a lot on even small hills, even worse as battery charge goes down, so I wouldn't go anything less than that. I wish I had got a one with a 300w motor.

      • yep im experiencing the same issue.

        • I might wait for 1s to drop again. Have you done the speed hack? Recommended 1s?

    20km Range

Damn scooters are getting affordable. I haven't tried this particular model, but my first scooter was the Segway ES4 which this would have evolved from (as well as the M365). These will be fine for flat ground for about 15km and relatively portable at 12kg.

  • This or the 1S from kogan
