In stock at BIG W for anyone that has missed out previously. On sale as part of the Toy Mania sale at BIG W.

LEGO 10280 Botanical Collection: Flower Bouquet $69 + delivery (from $7.90 for metro areas)

Mod: Even though the website claims this product is part of the Toy Mania sale, it doesn't appear in either of the two catalogues. This is probably the reason why the price varies between states (it's $89 for ACT, NT, SA, TAS, & WA) or why BIG W has failed to correct the discrepancy. All moot now as it's out of stock. (Although there's a small chance more stock may arrive in stores on or after Thursday 18 June.)

    Showing as $89 for me.

    • +1

Same for me , but select other store and it will change to $69.

      • +2

But then when you enter the correct delivery address the price is jacked up to $89.
I wonder how many other items are priced in this way?

"You are in a Waiting Lounge
Due to a very high number of shoppers on our website, you have been placed in the Waiting Lounge. We will get you shopping as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

    Clock indicating time elapsing
Average wait time right now is 30 minutes."

    wow, q online

    • For me , wait for around 10 min. I was expected to wait 30 min and browse a round and com back and check the browser tab and BigW pops up. As mentioned earlier it shown $89 for first time, select other store and it changed to $69

@$89.00 for delivery to WA Metro postcode.

    • +2

I don't see how BigW could expect to jack up the price by $20 for parts of Australia and not annoy people.

      • i managed to order using the NSW's postcode 2000 and ask the team to change my delivery address. and it works.

  • Just curious why this and the bonsai are so popular?

    • +11

Because they remind people of what natural items used to look like.

    • Maintenance-free.

  • is this something thats worth doing?

chances of getting it delivered to WA?

  • Got one - thanks OP :)

  • Thanks OP got one! I have never played with Levi ever. Yes ever. Always a first time. And I love having flower bouquets at home.

    • I meant Lego not Levi. Even my autocorrect hasn’t used them. 😄

  • got one. thanks.

  • got one too.

  • Got one at $69 plus delivery. Showed as $89 at first but once you set your store the price changes.

  • No Sale, they want 10bucks delivery should be free for orders over $49

    • Why $49? If you're going to randomly make up arbitrary values why not demand free delivery for all orders? But good luck getting this set for cheaper than this price anytime soon.

      • Kmart - orders over $65* are eligible for free delivery
Amazon.au - orders of $39 or more qualify for free delivery within Australia.
So BigW can meet its competitors in the middle at $49 for free delivery

        • I can see how you could compare bigw to Kmart, but there's no point comparing bigw to Amazon. Their freight structures are completely different.

          • @wombat81: Exactly why they charge delivery cause people like you just pay it and dont complain
If everyone complained then they wouldnt try and charge us

  • -2

I don't see why it should cost $20 more to deliver to some addresses, especially when they're charging us for delivery anyway.

    • -3

It’s probably what their shipping company charges for those addresses. Why would Big W absorb that cost?

      • +2

its not the delivery cost that vary, its the product cost.

        • +1

Free / cheap delivery just means delivery cost is included in the product cost, but I'm still annoyed.

Tempted to boycott BigW if this practice of price hikes based on location is found to be common.

        • Ah gotcha, I thought it was the delivery cost that varied not the product. Fair enough, I’d be annoyed too.

      • Delivery cost already varies by location.
$20 extra is an excessive premium for postage when it is most likely being sent from the same warehouse in Melbourne / Sydney.

      • +1

It's $20 more to deliver to the ACT, as opposed to NSW …

        • Yet delivery to Broken Hill, NSW has the $20 discount. WTF.

  • Thanks got one. :)

  • back in stock

    • @skido: Where?

      • +1
