@Thefong: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is $9.05 an Amazon atm too, and is better. Would recommend just getting that instead. - https://www.amazon.com.au/Thermal-Grizzly-Kryonaut-Grease-Pa…

Stats by @crys:
Here's a a great roundup of thermal pastes for 2021 for those interested:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X @ 4.3 GHz 1.4V (air cooling):

Intel Core i9 [email protected] GHz 1.35V (air cooling)

I've linked directly to the benchmarks for aircooled AMD and Intel. Feel free to check the rest. Arctic Silver now ranks amongst the bottom of the list compared to modern alternatives.

Mod Update 30th June: Price has increased to $9.89 from $9.

Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is $9.05 an Amazon atm too, and is better. Would recommend just getting that instead.

I don't know what this is or what it is used for but i need it.

  • The 2 pack is made in usa. Is this the same?

    • Checked my single tube from 2019, made in usa

ffs, how long has this been around? I remember building my own pc and using this like 15 years ago.
What a trip down the memory lane

For sure - slathered this goop on countless AthlonXP and Athlon 64 machines back in my uni says!

    • There are definitely a lot of much better thermal pastes around today though. This is adequate but on the lower end of the scale by current standards.

This and a Thermaltake Super Orb used to cool down my Duron 700 OCed to 850.

    RRP: $43.00

    Yikes

  • How long can this stuff be stored for future use once opened?

    • +1

Several years at minimum. Most pastes keep for quiet some time, although some may form a crust.

    • Till the end of the world as we know it

    • I stored mine for 11 years. Was still good and worked. In comparison, my 11 year old NT-H1 was all dried up and could not be pushed out of the syringe.

Was the best paste back when Socket 478, missed the P4 & 9800se
