Hah? From memory, prices of galaxy tabs are pretty close to iPad. Normal price for Galaxy tab 16GB WIFI is around $580 or even a bit less (iPad : $579). I think the original price $729 is for 3G+WIFI version (not just only WIFI version as stated above). Is it a bit misleading?

You can walk in to any Hardly normal or JB and get it for this price. I bought a Galaxy Tab 7.7 & 10.1 from JB last week for $485 each, so this price is nothing special.

Hmmm, they seemed to have increased prices now. They had them listed on the floor (Cannington WA) @ $520 each when I was there last week.
Friend got it from jb for 550 including the dock.

HN are idiots. The 7.7 is 1280x800. On their display info sheets, they also listed the CPU and dual 1.2GHz, and 560grams for weight. :)
I can verify that $485 price from JB for the 7.7 16gb wi-fi. Tried to get them to match Myer at $450 but they would only come down to $485.

I believe Best Buy (AUS) came before Best Buy (US) according to wikipedia. I've been to Best Buy (AU)'s physical store a couple of times.
Interestingly enough, there used to be a store who posted here called Best Buy Australia. It's no longer running as they sold their domain to Best Buy (US).

It looks like they are selling at the same price as everyone else (around $527 - 550) except I would guess they are not charging GST.They also have to be one of the most expensive around if their price really was $729.
I won't be sending them my money.
Even Myer's normal ticketed price is $579, and they often have 15% off sales bringing it down to $492.

How is this a good deal? There is no way I would pay $495 for this tablet. Neg for misleading information, RRP for this tablet is at $579 or so and not $729 as listed.
