  • Good deal but can't see this being better than 5100 (which is often available at around $100 on sale) - doesn't have the 3 mode gimmicks but suspect many of us would just use the high setting as default. Would be great if this was a diamond clean with glass cup charger.

    • What's diamondclean like in action? Is it some extra mode or different hardware?

  • It's 85% claimed, at the rate of sale, you've got about 5mins to decide if this deal is for you :)

  • How do I get on the waitlist

    • Looks like it's completely expired now sorry.

  • That was quick lol

    • Yeah, don't think they had much stock allocated to the lightning deal.

  • Plenty of information on brushes, most levels above 5000 are just features. Motors are generally the exact same etc

  • How do these compare to the Oral B?

I'm coming from a regular toothbrush and wanting to get an electric as part of these sales.

    • +2

i think both the ultrasonic camp (colgate, phillips) and the oscillating camp (oral B) have studies that suggest theirs are better than other etc

i'd say that it 80% comes down to preference, the other 20% is using it properly

so it's important to understand that you can move from manual to oral B easily and still keep mashing the brush, but if you go from manual to ultrasonic brush it's important to remember to just lightly run the brush over your teeth and gum lines as mashing it will render it close to useless. the issue is that most people that come from a manual toothbrush and also mash brushes won't understand this difference and hence will review ultrasonic brushes poorly.

      • amazing - thanks for the response mate.
