I can't fault mine for a stubble shave or beard trimming without worrying about attachments.

  • Very good price, I bought mine from TGG about 2 years ago for almost double the price. It's an OK machine, don't expect much, just does the job.

  • Pretty sure this is the one I got as a sign-on bonus for eBay Plus a few months ago, and if not, it looks identical. Is excellent.

  • +2

A big advantage of this model over the the Multigroom series is that it can run while connected to power. That means even if the battery eventually dies, you can still use it as a corded trimmer. The Multigroom series can only be used cordless.

    • Are you sure about that? I had an old version which was also corded. The battery died and it wouldn't run well even whilst connected to mains. Seemed like the main charged the battery, and motor always pulled from the battery.

      • Absolutely positive. It says on the box, in the Amazon description, and in the product FAQ on the Philips support page:

Some Philips Groomers are only meant for dry use. This means that you cannot use them or clean them with water. These types of devices can be used while they are plugged into an electrical socket.

The Multigroom series are showerproof, so are specifically designed not to function while connected to power, for safety.

    • Yea i have to do this as my battery has died
