I have the leather strap version of this watch, note that the bracelet version is ever so slightly different in the lugs which means the leather band version is not compatible with the bracelet, but you can swap the bracelet for leather.

  Really tempted by this but the idea of spending $500 on a quartz watch does rankle a little…

    It's an interesting watch, I have to admit that I had to try one on before getting mine (leather band version a few months back) due to the reported love/hate that this watch gets.

    I had no issues with the $500 price knowing it isnt the rank and file quartz movement but the 262khz (ie 16-beat) movement. The chrono hand is so smooth (the clincher), and even the tiny second ticker is 2-beat.

    You are right, we can get a NH35 for $100ish (looking at you Invicta Pro Diver and AliExpress) but the overall package on this watch (brand heritage, back story, movement) is pretty compelling.
