  • Slightly lower price if you are looking to get from Amazon UK
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Sony-STRDH790-CEK-Channel-Dolby-At…
Not sure about intl warranty and it is temporarily out of stock

    • Careful about the voltage on this. Amps take alot of power. Might be dual voltage though

      • UK is the same voltage as Aus

    • it's now $511.47 from Amazon UK, probably expired? what was the price?

  • When STRDH1090? I've been waiting forever to upgrade my 840…

  • This any good with ps5?

Coming from a Yamaha rx-v673 that's carked it!

    • Same! What happened to yours? Mine developed a cold shoulder joint

  • $382.98 in cart!

You get the Prime discount + Lightning discount!

    • $568 also for the STRDH790 in cart.

  • These are both 2018 models, and don't support HDMI 2.1

Yamaha RX-V4A is probably the closest current model price-wise (to the DH790)

    • The Yamaha v4a/6a don't support it yet either is my understanding? Waiting on some patch?

    • I'm only plugging in audio devices to mine and I'm staying on 1080p gaming until video card prices come down to more reasonable levels so higher hdmi doesn't really matter unless youre doing passthrough to the tv

      • video card prices come down

        How about PS5?

  • +1

The lack of binding posts on this make it just a bit cheap for me.

was $349 March till August last year

  • How come the 5.2 receiver weighs 9kg but the 7.2 is 7.4kg?

  • I have a Yamaha RX-V385.. Thinking of grabbing the Sony 7.2 but not sure if it's worth it? Don't think I'll do atmos.. Can sell mine and add the $250.. but is it worth it?
