    JB hifi is XM4 model.

      Corrected thanks!

      • +1

I still pulled the plug since it is still good deal :)

        • +15

Uhhhh I think pulled the plug means something else. You mean pulled the trigger ;)

        • +1

The headphones are wireless so nothing to pull

    • I bought the Bose 700 on yesterdays deal of $299, it looks like these are better though :(

  • +10

So glad I don't have prime membership, it saves me lot by not spending

    • +1

Tell me about it…already spent $500 yesterday :(
      More to come today!

    • +11

can save you alot by spending on things you would need anyway. My super exciting prime purchases so far are… paper towels… soap refills… laundry detergents… shaving cream..

      as I said, exciting stuff.

      • Agree, if you are buying day to day needs, but I believe most of us will get tempted to buy something which we were not looking/planning to buy….I can't be sure about others, but I have done it before. Since have stopped any kind of membership which offers you free delivery.. for me (personally) it's a trap..

    • +1

Until you see that 1 really good deal you want and just buy a prime membership..then you're IN!

Love these headphones, only feature I feel is missing is being able to connect and switch between multiple devices but it's a small concession.

    • Wonder if blue tacking a BT5.0 can fix that 😅

    • +4

      The call quality also sucks

      • Never used them for calls but I've heard that too yeah.

    • XM4s has that feature.

  • I just want to upgrade my Sennheiser RS120 to use with the TV are these overkill for just TV use/connection?

    • +1

Yes only if your tv room is very noisy.

    • +2

How much noise when you watch TV? Near a train line?
It mainly for active noise cancelling, eg best for bus/train.

    • Look into the Audeze Penrose @ $400, because you're not buying ANC for sound quality, but either way you might run into Bluetooth latency issues with your TV.

    • +4

These dont have aptX Low Latency codec, so not suitable for TV. You will notice sync issues with peoples lips and sound.

  • Argghhhhhh.. bought one

  • Good price for this model.

  • +1

Loved these headphones, found them better overall than the Bose QC35IIs. If you have these, really no need to upgrade to the XM4s any time soon.

  • some people prefer these over xm4?

    • +1

Yes because of AptX, I use this with Bluetooth dongle (Gulikit) on my PS5 and it works very well.

If you want to use the mic then buy XM4.

ANC is same on both models otherwise.

  • Does anyone know if I can get officeworks or JB to price match this? I got discounted giftcard.

    • +1

Probably not because this deal requires Prime and isn't just an anyone can get it price.

  • Can anyone help me understand if these work seamlessly with a Windows laptop?

Looking to get a pair to use for WFH but struggling to understand if they will be useful for Teams/Zoom calls?

Bose recently launched an MS Teams certified pair. Does that mean these pairs from Sony or older Bose ones will not work with Teams?

    • General consensus is that these have woeful mics, so not really suitable for conferencing.

    • These will work with any device that has Bluetooth. So yes they'll work with your windows laptop.

The one problem is that a lot of people say the mics are shitty on them so you might not get good sounding audio from your end.

    • Given that you're using a laptop, I would generally recommend using the headphones as speakers only (for the videoconferencing) and then use your laptop's internal mic. This will have better sound quality than using the inbuilt Bluetooth handsfree voice profile (long story short, bluetooth microphones and Windows are a nightmare).

  • Bummer, I ordered the Bose 700 on yesterdays deal of $299

  • Do these have multipoint connection?

    • Nope. Not the xm3.

    • Not by most people's understanding, but it does have multipoint connection of a sort

      • Just want to be able to connect them to a PC and mobile at the same time

        • Well you can do that, but it'll only get audio from one device.
I regularly switch between my phone and laptop with no problem.

  • +1

Was bummed I missed out on the refurb deal on these but this is a much better deal at only $20 more. If anyone is weighing these up against the XM4, I've read these are better for Android users.

    • +1

Both the XM3 and XM4 has LDAC so it doesn't really matter for Android users. It's really for windows pc users where the XM4 doesn't have aptx, so the XM3 would be better.

      • Oh okay cool. I just read that the lack of aptx affects Android users as they don't work as well with AAC.

        • Yeah, AAC isn't implemented well on android, its got higher latency and drains battery.

I read up a bit more on it, apparently for multipoint connection you can't use LDAC and it uses AAC.

  • Still using my WH1000XM2, is there really anything I'm missing out on?

    • Likewise! Xm2 is still going strong… :)…

  • got the XM4 from last deal as a second(refurb), absolutely love it.(from someone owning 1K$+ IEMs)

    • +1

      how was the refurb quality?

      • +1

I tried really hard to find any imperfection or sign of use, I cant.

I did a good check right after open the box, all cables are still tied together, no fingerprint or scratch on any of the ear cups. No smell on earpads, or head bands, came with 100% battery, and as soon as I connected to my phone with the app installed, it starts updates the software/firmware (in the headphone) seems like overdue from last November.

I might just be lucky, but i was willing to take the risk.

(have also bought couple more refurb units from sonyaustralia , including my A7ii camera, so far so good, would definitely buy again).

  • 259.00 if anyone missed this, still ok price
