6"/15cm Table Bench Vice $42 C&C / Delivered @ gooddealfrance eBay

80

i was looking for bench vice for a home project, looks like this ebay one is under cost sale $42~$45 (all drop from $60+) and look alike Craftright and SCA, but it has 6 inch about 15cm and weight 12kg. I'm expecting the same low quality as the SCA one, but the ebay sellers are giving 1 year warranty :)

bunnings craftright 4 inch 10cm $29.89

save up for a good one. had the craftright & this style before and they shit out and rust easily

The craftright one I got was some terrible black caked on paint that instantly began flaking off and the pivot mechanism at the base was absolute rubbish. The tightening arm had a screw on stopper at one end that would not screw on properly, the threads had been badly cut. Avoid the craftright one. Some of their tools aren't bad, but the bench vice is trash.

My wifes vice is about six inches aswell.

  • Buy a second hand vice made in UK, USA or Aus!!
Don't piss around with this cheap crap.

  • That looks nasty.

Get what you pay for in vices.

For a solid cast iron Australian made vice, look at Dawn.

lol I was just looking at this vice yesterday and put it on my watch list,

But they are like Chalk and literally explode if you clamp down too hard with them :/

Looks like a copy of https://www.bunnings.com.au/irwin-150mm-mechanics-vice_p5860…

    • ya, this irwin is $110, and i know it will potentially crack like chalk pencil like this (credit to SCA review)

dont know why and how it happen.

the supercheap vice looks the same as the ebay vice…. probably all crap, that is why I think the irwin bunnings vice is better.

  • they claim there is 20kN (~2 Tons, source: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143993311425, image: https://selloproduct.oss-ap-southeast-2.aliyuncs.com/HW0083/… ) clamping force, hard to prove it. do you think if i bend 90 degree angle with 5mm steal metal preheat at 150 degree C, will i accidentally broke it?
