Can you take out the shaped foam inside and just use it as a hard shell tech case?

I bought one for carrying osmo action, charger, batteries and small (compact) tripod stick, let see how it fits? if not fits for my purpose then it will be use it for external hard drives and USB cables
Yes you can take it out, I just got mine in the mail, it's just a foam insert sitting in the case, not attached to anything.
