Greater Sydney Lockdown - Things to Do?

Hey guys

Most people are aware we are going to be in for a lockdown for the next 2 weeks.

I'm not going to be going into work. So what now?
Any suggestions would be great! Also feel free to post what you'll be doing during the lockdown and share your plans.

Eg. Cooking
Gaming (consoles, board games)
Any indoor activity

Just my 2c, but I'd recommend looking into something like philosophy and, by extension, psychology.

Helped me wrap my head around a lot of things and gain a new perspective. Most of my research has been in Stoicism, but I've also learned a bit about Epicureanism, Buddhism and some psychological things such as our inclination towards biases and how they shape our worldviews. If anyone is interested in books or where to start learning, I could point you in some helpful directions if you send me a message. Nothing it it for me!

Helps you understand a lot of people's different takes on the world at the moment and genuinely does provide some (for a lack of a better term) inner peace.

Read, clean and go into your closet to get rid of old clothes. Update the look of your apartment and also look at your habits and make a plan to change some if needed

Go to the toilet every hour.

And never get to sleep at the right time because your brain hates you.

  • Riding a motorcycle is allowed?

    • To get essentials, yes. To take a leisurely ride, no.

      • It was deemed as "exercise" last time though.

Last year during Melbourne's lockdowns I very much enjoyed sitting out in the backyard in the sun during day with the radio playing (Double J was our station of choice), reading and drinking cups of tea.

Not my usual activity or drink of choice but it was amazing to slow down and reset a little. Very much enjoyed it

yeah I understand you Sydney people haven't experienced what a REAL lock down is like so let me educate you on what you should be doing. Stay at home!!!

    • Yeah we did. It was called national lockdown. We just haven't had to do it a second time (bar Northern Beaches) unlike other states until now.
