  • surely the GPS isn't necessary

    • depends on who's driving…

    They're not cheap

I just tried booking parking for 15 minutes, and it's quoting $15…

That is $1 per minute !!!

    • +1

Why would you park for 15min at an off-airport long term parking facility?? That's not what these places are designed for.

For comparative purposes, Melbourne Airport will charge you $179 for undercover parking/$99 outdoor for 9 days, compared to $105 (regular price)/$84.80 (discount) at Ace. That gives a comparative saving of $74 for undercover, and $15 for outdoor. That's a sizable chunk of change which buys a few more beers on the bar, or some duty free alcohol on the way home.

      • Cheaper to catch a cab

  • +2

A true oz bargainer would catch the train to broadmeadows & catch the bus from there to the airport on a metcard for $3.00

    • Indeed.

    • Actually it will cost $6.50 for a Zone 1+2 2 Hour Full Fare from Flinders St Station. $3.50 for a Sunday Saver

Still better than using the Skybus from Southern Cross which is $17.

Or taxi fare which is $65

  • We should just park there and have a lunch in the airport to take advantage of this bargain. It is 20% off !!! Forget about the 80% that we need to pay.
