Trying to Set up Dreame D9 with Multiple Maps

I'm trying to set up multiple maps with this robot vac.

Does anyone know if the docking station needs to be set up on each floor for a separate map?

I just tested creating a new map without the dock on a different floor and it mapped out the room and at the end, got a bit lost, but then returned to the position I placed it to start from and didn't save the map.

  Put the dock in the area when saving a new map, the map saves when the vacuum sits back on the dock.

  For subsequent cleans in that area, you don't need the dock to be in the area but when the cleaning is complete the vacuum will continue searching for the dock until you stop it manually.
