Quality Sturdy Drying rack recommendations?

I am looking for some recommendations on a sturdy drying rack to hang out my washing. I have tried the usual (cheap ?) drying racks from kmart, bunnings and costco and they all give way in less than 6 months of regular use. Happy to pay a bit of coin for the right drying rack. If it's got castor wheels for mobility that will be very helpful. What do you recommend?

I used to use something like this - not exactly this but similar - it was good

Lets hope my comment actually publishes now

    • Thank you for replying. Thats mostly what I was looking for. Is it sturdy?
Also, which one did you use the 3 shelves or the 4? Looks like the 4 shelves might make it very tight for the clothes? Do the tubes pop out after a bit of use? One of the reviews says bolts supplied were too short - was that your finding too?

I dont have this exact one so I cant comment on it

The one i had was sturdy enough. I would get the 4 if you have more washing, You can lower the shelves so if you have long pants to hang up you can have only the top shelf up and the rest lowered.

      • Aldi got them on sales once in a while, you just missed it. Quality varies in each season.
        Spot light has it too.

        • and Costco had them a few months ago

To be fair, it's a pretty cool design

    • Thanks for replying. To me it looks like it might be a tad too small for our needs. But I will get SWMBO to peruse. Cheers.

With the "wings" extended it's fairly large.
Can hang a full load from our 10Kg machine.

We have 2 of these.. Hills Premium 2 Tier Clothes Airer- https://www.hardwareshop2u.com.au/hills-two-tier-premium-mob…

Purchased them from Masters so that's about 5 years ago.

Happy with them and they easy to store away when not in use.

you'll need one that has no plastic joints, castors, or wires that sag,
been using these ones from ikea…

i have three at the moment and have used them for the last 3 years.. no sign of rust deformation of any kind..

house of 6 people with racks of clothes out every day ,

    folds flat
no areas for little spiders to hide

  • I walked past this one yesterday at Bunnings and was surprised at the quality.

  • Maybe not what you are after, but I always install a small washing line in my carport in all my houses (and once in the laundry as it was a big laundry), it is so convenient and I put it up high enough that it doesn't block foot traffic.

  • I had a three-tier drying rack on castor wheels that was used outdoors on a patio that is exposed on 3 sides and the rack wasn't very sturdy as it tended to topple over even in light winds. Never used indoors so cannot comment.

Now have a Hills 2 Tier A-Frame Airer & it's very sturdy & hasn't stacked it once in over 6+ months of use.
