Beware surface gets dinted super easily. Also not sure something is changed but there is no cable management that I know of.

    All that said, good price

    • I believe you need to buy the cable management trays and such for an extra fee

      • theres a cable management net included with the frame.

Yeah, that’s why I don’t understand’ You get a generous work surface and a clever solution to keep cables in place underneath.’ comment from OP.

I purchased this exact desk two weeks ago, and it comes with a net which you attach under the desk for cable management.

It's not the best in managing cables though, as there are two horizontal steel support bars running across the underside of the table. These steel bars physically obstruct routing cables effectively.

Either way I'm happy with the desk for the price.

Ah I see, fair. Yeah the price is great!

    • I have the the desk of a smaller size 120 x 80 for a few years. dont have a single dent. it still looks like new and i have been using the desk like 14 hours every day in the last 1.5 years. i just wish the table top could be a little bit thicker, but it is just a personal preference.

  • Bought the bekant and separate table top yesterday. Came with cable management net.

    • Bought it yesterday too haha

It's a nice desk, I had it for couple of weeks before I returned it. The desk is sturdy when you use it at 65cm height(it is too low for my height), but when you extend the height around 75cm-80cm it is quite wobbly.

  • Thanks OP, been looking for a desk for a couple weeks with better dimensions than 1500x750mm, 1600x800mm seems like the sweet spot!

  • i literally walked in back to my apartment with a 160 x 80 cm bekant white table top 1 min ago…

This design plus no extra support between the legs is prone to wobbling. If you don't load up the surface much at all I'm sure it'll be fine though. I was using it for gaming for a while and the monitor wobbling when I moved the mouse was a bit distracting.

    • What did you end up replacing it with?

the sturdiness of the desk is my concern. I currently have a standing desk with 3 monitors on it for work that wobbles a bit which is a bit concerning with a young child around. Those that have purchased this desk, could you comment on whether that may be too much and just have the same wobbles with the legs extended tot he full height of 85cm?
    appreciated

    • It definitely wobbles, was an issue for me at the beginning, but I got used to it. I do not have it set to the full height. Have a 34" and 27" monitor on it.

Yep agree with other comments, I've had two of the corner L shaped ones for years and they definitely wobble no matter the height - lower is better but still very noticeable when using a monitor arm.

Reinforcing it doesn't do much either as it's not the frame itself (it's a pretty sturdy all metal build), but the fact there are only 2 vertical supports instead of a traditional 4 (like the popular Galant it replaced). The top is also really thin for a desk which doesn't help.

Otherwise, they look nice and are pretty well priced, but I'd go the DIY route with a solid top if I did it again.

  • I prefer the blue & black combination. but it's $289 https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/bekant-desk-linoleum-blue-black…
