  I tried it with the Note 9 512GB which only amounts to $170, but it appears they’ll add on another $425 trade in value = $595 trade in value towards the purchase of an S21 Ultra along with this SPen case that OP has mentioned.

  I have the S21 Ultra and bought a Nilkin case with s pen slot and an aftermarket s pen for Note 5 for $8. Works perfectly

    Just an FYI.. I’ve also heard that people have just not returned the device as they are generally not valued much - perhaps $50 or so. So if you don’t return the device you will get charged that value, but the trade in bonus stays. So you are somehow better not returning the device if you were to believe that the value of your device (before trade in bonus) is higher.
