  • Nice set. But too much for me though.

  • +1

    Box says 18+
Maybe this number is in months?

    • Nope, some of the new Lego ideas stuff have stupid high are recommendations for some reason…

      • +3

It’s to make adults feel more comfortable buying lego

        • -4

It is really sad for society that millennials outnumber children at the Lego store each day.

          • @Charity: Why is that sad for society?
I mean I'm classed as a millennial I think, and I buy Lego to build and play with my child.

          • @Charity: If this is a comment about the cost of Lego pricing out children and parents from buying products, I agree.

If this is a comment about Millennials enjoying hobbies like Lego, pull your finger out you nuff.

  • Do you think it will be a lower price later or is this the best price I’ll get?

    • +1

It’s the lowest price now. You can wait and see or wait and miss out

      • -1

        Ok you’ve convinced me.

    • You might save $10 if you're willing to wait a year to find out.

      • -1

I can save $10 today with my birthday reward.

        • -1

The birthday rewards are only instore now. I got mine last week.

          • @sparkles: It worked for me online. It’s the birthday gift card, you just add the details under gift card.

            • @Oz em: Mine is different then. It is $15, and is specifically instore only. You have to hand over the cardboard birthday card and they will scan a barcode.

              • @sparkles: That sound cool.
Only 3 Myer stores left in my state so slightly annoying compared to online.

  • Bought, and bought a pirate ship.. so far $650 today on lego :(

    • +1

Pirate ship Creator (and Barracuda) is great.

Also available on their ebay store for the same price if you happen to have a bunch of discount ebay vouchers laying around.

Myer should be forced by eBay to clean up their store. They still have listings for Beetle, Kombi, Voltron, Ninjago Docks, Death Star, Star Wars Slave, Technic Porsche 911, CNY Dragon Dance, Harry Potter Aragog's Lair etc, etc, etc, etc. It's borderline cruel what they are doing. It would take someone about 30 minutes to tidy up, I'd estimate.

    • I read through it and I am still unclear about the point you’re trying to make?

    • Yeah I can't see what you're referring to there. None of those retired sets you listed are actually showing up on Myer's eBay store or their website (they're not showing up in search results or under their relevant categories).

      • The listings exist but they don't always show up in ebay search. It's erratic. You can find them by Google if you really want, iirc

        • Same as DJ’s, Google can find a hidden or sold out page.

      • I looked at Myer other items, searched Lego and got all those as current looking listings. It's only when you click through that you're advised they are sold out.

    • I use to look at them newest listings first but nowadays don't bother as no codes with them .

    • Right o

    • I know exactly what you're saying, try searching Parisian Restaurant for example as well !!

      • Glad someone does LOL. Even Carousel 10257 shows up in the search for $199. I mean, it's been gone so long it trades at about $750+ now.

  • Probably not good for a 2 year old is it?

    • +1

      Good for 216 months old

My toddlers like sesame street but this set is too complex for them to build, whereas my primary school kid might be able to build this however he doesn't like sesame street anymore. Would be awesome if they had this in Duplo

    • I think its aimed at children of the 80s. I couldnt give a limp about the Millenium Falcon or that stupid bonzai tree but I must admit I actually thought about buying this one. When Mr Hooper died I cried like a little b****.

    • These are all sets for adults
