  Man i wanna pull the the trigger but ive only played like 2 games of Gloomhaven, its just so much effort to pull out and i cant coordinate a group of friends to save my life

    The big draw of this version is that it isn't nearly as much effort to pull out. All map layouts are in the book (you play on the book), and the number of enemy types is fairly limited.

    The setup can also be eased with the Gloomhaven Helper app and can keep track of things with the Campaign Tracker app. But yes, organising a party of 4, the struggle is real. There's also the online version on Steam which is about to go into full release

    Tabletop Simulator .. Unfortunately for newcomers to tabletop simulator, the sale ended. But it's possible to play the workshop version of Gloomhaven, Jaws there. It takes no space..and you can save status of games.

    Do it. I have both and Jaws of the Lion is so much easier to get to the table than regular Gloomhaven (maps are all in the book rather than tiles). You can also solo play 2 characters together if you dont want to deal with other people :p

  This is an insane amount of quality gaming for $60, I loved my solo playthrough of JotL and now I'm playing through Gloomhaven at the moment.
