Is a Nintendo switch worth it if you have other consoles? I've read mostly praise about them. I have 2 boys under 10 who have a Ps4, xbox one and 2 cheap Android tablets.

Looks like they have enough toys to play with

lmao with kids these days it's never enough.. Glad I can live vicariously through my sisters child.

Wow what a laugh and a half you must be with a comment like that

      • Yeah should have mentioned that the xbox and ps4 are really mine and they play on them from time to time. They use their 2 tablets mostly for games and reading eggs for learning

        • +3

Absolutely, you'll get to keep the other consoles as they'll be happy with the Switch.

Yeah Nintendo is different to the other consoles and will be a welcome addition.

Yep, first-party Nintendo offers a very distinctive gaming experience, particularly for children. If they have an interest in gaming, I think capturing the current generation of Nintendo while they're this age offers a lot that Sony/Microsoft/mobile doesn't 👍

The Lite console is ideal for price and form-factor if exclusively played by young children. If they're older and/or adult gamers will use it, a full Switch is worth the slightly higher price.

Grab em a switch. I think you'll find the games available are much better suited to their age. I think Nintendo will always have great exclusive games especially for their age compared to the churned out crap for xbox and ps, even as the dad you'll enjoy alot of the games I think.
