Picked this up from travelzoo, combine it with 3 park pass (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63362) for a great more affordable family holiday!
Hard to find a 2bdr spa apartment anywhere for under $100, looks great & gets good reviews.
Alternatively buy the kids a coke can remote control car (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63742) for $4.95 to play with for the weekend & leave them at home - then the 1bdr is $89-99 with only a 3 night minimum. Or the 3.5 star 2bdr only has a 3 night minimum & is sometimes $95-105.

    Biggera Waters is a long way from the action of Main Beach, Surfers & Broadbeach etc. and a long way from ANY beach, despite it's waterway location. You'll definitely need a hire car. However, if you're more interested in theme parks then go for it.

    Minimum 5 nights stay = $500 surely I would stay at least a week or 2 for my holiday so 14x $100 totally $1,400 only for accommodation plus expensive food etc. etc. lets say $2,500-3,000 for 2 week holiday and paying attention to expenses.

    How much is a return ticket for example Bangkok $800? Accommodation you can even find for around $30 a day, food is ridiculously cheap, entertainment there is a lot and very cheap, you can do the math.

    This is to say to local tourist agents and merchants to lower your prices if you want more customers.

      Not to mention poverty, dodgy law system, and occasional riots and terrorist attacks but yes it is alot cheaper to for the expirience
