The eBay Tuesdays coupon - PARTS10 brings the price down to $38.21.

    • Only works for eBay Plus members. Correct me if I’m wrong. I tried the code but error saying eBay plus membership required.

Costco does Michelin ones for $12'ish a pop. I change mine every year and pretty happy with them.

    • -1

My nearest Costco is 280km away. We don't all live in Metroland.

        so what, this isn't "OzProblems".

        • +3

Agreed. Just someone posting that one shop can do a certain brand of cheap blades to walk in customers, that are available to a limited audience vs another brand of blades that are available to all, isn't terribly helpful.
          Not comparing apples with apples

@oscargamer: Certainly, I only commented the way I did because I noticed that Hydroid had a -, of which I +. But none the less a bargain is bargain, whether or not it's obtainable to you due to travelling distance alone, doesn't negate it being a bargain to the majority correct?

Where comparing wiper blades to wiper blades here though.

          • +3

@oscargamer: To be fair, i don't think he was comparing, was literally stating a fact and posting his experience.

          • @oscargamer: FYI they're usually available for free delivery as well, albeit currently seems out of stock:

How can you posting an out of stock item, be anything other than a waste of time?

    • Waiting for the sale at the moment haha.

    • Great, good find! I had these Bosch ones installed when I had my windscreen replaced. Can I replace the Bosch blades with the Michelin ones when the time comes (i.e. do they use the same mounting on the windscreen arm)?

      • +3

They have multiple connectors in the pack so should be fine for most cars. There's a compatibility guide available too to double check (and no hassle returns if they don't).

        Guide: https://www.costco.com.au/medias/sys_master/products/hb0/hb8…

        • Thanks. I may have been snookered by the windscreen place, as they said that they needed to replace the arm to allow the installation of the Bosch cartridge-style wiper blades (Mazda 6 Atenza wagon, 2013). I guess I'll try out the Costco Michelin ones and see how I go. That's a very good saving.

        • The Ford Focus LW/LZ isn't listed in that PDF. Can I just go get the same size ones even if it's not listed and see if it fits?

    • Me too, but sadly, costco doesn't have the rear wiper so i have to buy the rear one outside

Best of luck actually getting anything out of Sparesbox. I and thousands of other buyers have experienced the same service on both ebay and direct, usually a minimum 4 weeks wait for anything as they don’t actually carry stock even though it will say in stock on listing. Personally discount isn’t worth the fight. Sparesbox should be banned from Ozbargain based on my experience. One of my deliveries of ‘in stock’ parts took well over 2 months to arrive.

    • +3

i’ve ordered shocks , oil filters and other items, no problems and i had fast delivery ….
if their service was bad ebay feedback would have killed their business, especially for car parts as people like to fix card .

    • +1

I've probably spent over $2k with them in the past 12-18 months. Only time I waited 3-4 weeks was for a BMC air filter for the wife's A45 but the delivery time specified this. Lots of suspension, brake and general service parts etc generally all arrive within a week to Perth.

      • Agree, ive used them heaps of times and never had an issue. Dont know where these 'thousands' of disappointed customers area.

Pretty sure Sparesbox is mostly a dropshipper aka they don't stock every single item, they ship some items straight from a manufacturer's warehouse facility or similar. Can get products cheaper this way but they have less control over some aspects of the logistics chain, just something to note I guess.

    • Yes, I've had a similar experience multiple times so I try to avoid using this reseller.

(somethings' in stock but never ships or an ETA goes from 3 days to 3 months).

I think they are owned by repco now anyway (GPC)

      • I think they are owned by repco now anyway (GPC)

They are and I'm surprised they aren't taking advantage of Repco's inventory or using their stores to pump things out instead of shipping out of Sydney or Melbourne.

    • Depends on how obscure the stuff you're buying, if it's nothing too out of the ordinary it gets to my door within a week.

Anything weird, strange or you know they wouldn't otherwise stock it themselves, ignore the timeframe they provide - it will be a long wait.

    • Just to give you an update, my ebay order status changed to "on its way" with tracking number and that was processed within 24 hours since payment.
Looking pretty good for me so far!

      Estimated delivery is 20-23 July

      • Arrived yesterday 21 July.
Installed it this morning and really impressed with the blades! Very silent and cleans everything on its way!

Thanks OP, was about to bite the bullet on another set of Wipertech's but will go with these for the price.
Not sure if it was just me but got an extra 5% off with eBay Plus so came to $40.34.
Supercheap wanted nearly $90 for the same set.

I have had good and bad experience with sparesbox delivery. The parts either come quickly or not at all. They then cancel the ebay sale when you complain so that you can't leave negative feedback. That is why you can't see lots of bad feedback for them on ebay.

    • This is exactly why the neg feedback doesn’t exist. Same thing they have done to me.

      • If I buy from them, and sometimes it is the only choice. If the delivery is late or not posted on time etc I leave neg feedback straight away then start the resolution process. I can always retract the neg later if justified. But haven't needed to yet.

Is it safe to buy from sparesbox given the data breach and privacy issues???

  • "You should get it by Tue, 20 Jul."

  • got it! thanks mate

  • I’ve had the Bosch Aerotwins on another car and they worked great. But about 6 months ago I got some Chinese knock off Aerotwins and they’re just as great and cost 60% less

    • Which country are these manufactured? China? Germany? South Korea? Indonesia? Thailand? Vietnam?

  • I got a pair of these for $51 (with a $5 voucher) from eBay plus recently, different cars are different costs I think. Was actually another seller (mycarperformanceonline)but have heard good things about sparesbox.

Anyway apparently you can refill these, does anyone know some good cheap rubbers that fit (should be $5 or $10 bucks on eBay)? Thanks

  • Seriously though… same thing $5. Even if it lasts half the time (mine lasts about a year including wiping off dry dead bugs from country drives.), its still 1/10th the price.

Once you get decent wiper blades you should be able to just replace the rubber. It's a fair bit of waste binning the whole assemblies every 6-12 months

  • So what generic rubbers fit these
